Peaches Geldof passed away at the incredibly young age of 25 earlier this month, but the cause of death was previously unknown as her autopsy was inconclusive and toxicology results were being held up by weeks of processing times. Well, the results are in, and the answer is tragic: Peaches died from a lethal heroin overdose.

The Times of London reports the tox report will show she died from an overdose of heroin. Geldof’s mother, Paula Yates, died from an accidental heroin overdose in 2000.
The Times’ report angered a Kent city official … who told TMZ the toxicology results were supposed to be confidential until tomorrow’s inquest, saying “if I find out who leaked it I will cut their balls off.”
Oh man, that’s awful. Peaches had said multiple times that she was past her drugging phase, especially since she was the mother of two small children. I know drug addiction is an awful thing, and addicts need help, not condemnation, but it is really, really selfish – particularly when you’re a parent. If you’re alone in life, do what you want. It’s still idiotic, but at least you’re only hurting yourself. When you’ve got babies and you leave them without a mother – especially when you were robbed of a mother growing up for the very same reason – that’s just beyond fucked up.
