Craig Ferguson “Consciously Uncoupling” From The Late Late Show

Craig Ferguson has been hosting The Late Late Show on CBS since 2005, but alas, it is time for them to part ways, or to “consciously uncouple”, to steal a play from Gwyneth’s Book, as Mr. Ferguson did. Here’s the statement, via People:

CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are ‘consciously uncoupling,’ but we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much.

Cute. I love this guy. I admittedly don’t watch his show anymore, but I still love him.

People also notes that no placement has been named.

Let’s throw around some ideas. Who should host The Late Late Show? I could see Aziz Ansari do it, but he’s probably too busy trying to make his movie career happen. What are your picks?

  • Is this just a 10yrs is enough of doing this or was he pissed he didn’t get the nod to take over for Letterman?

    • Both. Probably more to do with being passed over, but 10 years is a while when you’re on the same show.

    • Apparently he has it in his contract that if he got passed over for Letterman’s spot, he gets 8 million.

I’d probably want to take some time off to enjoy that as well.
