I’ve been a massive Ellie Goulding fan since way back in 2010, before she even signed with Polydor – and definitely long before she sang at Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s wedding and started getting crazy famous. It’s kinda strange (but wonderful) to see how much she’s grown over those few years – to the point where she’s pretty much the central musical focus of the Divergent soundtrack!
Several tracks from Ellie are featured in the movie and on the soundtrack, but the original one writing specifically for it is called ‘Beating Heart’. It’s a pretty great song, and while the lyric video won’t give much away, if this is the ambiance of the movie, I’m totally into it.

Good song, but she has way better ones. But she’s still one of the few truly talented popsingers.
As for the movie: Definitely no. And Hollywood should stop turning crappy books into even crappier movies.
The song is alright, I just don’t like Ellie Goulding that much! The book was okay but the writing was subpar. I will probably go to see it but I am by no means excited about it.
