New York City’s Union Square is my old stomping ground, and I’m telling you now, if I ever came across anything like this, I’d shit myself and then start stomping fingers out of terror. The folks at AMC thought an excellent promo for The Walking Dead‘s fourth mid-season premiere would be to clean out a street grate, make up a bunch of actors like zombies from the show and have them reach up at unsuspecting pedestrians’ feet. WHAT?!
I love seeing people get scared shitless, mainly out of schaudenfreude and because it’s not me. This was pretty brilliant, though it seems like a lot of trouble to go through for a viral marketing stunt. They had to clear out the whole grate and everything! Very clever…
