In a continued effort to be as weird as she fucking can be while still remaining somewhat sexualized, Miley Cyrus took to the stage at the American Music Awards on Sunday night to perform ‘Wrecking Ball’, complete with… animated cat. The cat seemed to be flying through space on a screen behind her and its mouth would open and close as she sang, which I suppose is… charming? No, it’s just bizarre and makes no sense.
Also, if I may, what the hell is wrong with homegirl’s voice? Despite all her bullshit, she used to have a really great voice but during all her recent live performances, she’s sounded like ass. Too much weed? Too much coke? Either way, it’s just getting painful. No, Miley. No more.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how awful was this performance for you? On the bright side, at least she got her eyebrows back.
I do not like this person, and I wish she would go away. Okay, I do not like a lot of music that’s popular, but I just cannot wrap my head around why anyone enjoys her crap. She’s somehow convinced herself that she’s a legit artist, and she is really just a touring freak show.
I’m not much a fan of popular music either, but I do like this song. I don’t know why; maybe it’s indicative of my teen years? I don’t know. But this “performance” was terrible…the cat, the intergalactic, cheesy background…I’m left to wonder was it that crappy on purpose???
Also, I had this random thought while flipping through stations last night and stopping for a while on the awards show: why would anyone over 30 want to be a “pop star”? It just seems so juvenile and silly…I mean, back in the day, when I was a kid, I thought it was awesome, but as a grown woman it was a sad experience to watch TLC sing a silly song and dance like foolish kids. I guess it’s our addiction to youth, and greed. Greed always wins.
Ugh and I hate those bikini bottoms- they make her look 40

Please somebody just bring back good rock & metal! I’m not asking for much!!
