Say what you will about Taylor Swift‘s less than stellar songwriting abilities, but apparently the critics love her. This week, for the sixth time, she was named the Nashville Songwriters Association International’s songwriter and artist of the year for releasing 14 songs that hit the Top 30 between June 2012 and July 2013. Damn, girl!
Taylor is the youngest artist to win the award, and now holds the most titles over five time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson. All of her awards are going to be on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, in the Taylor Swift Education Center (which is a totally real thing that opens on October 12).
I wonder if someone bothered to call Taylor and tell her about this honour, because if it was only announced in a press release, she won’t have read it. Lolz.
