It’s all been a bit of a mess for Simon Cowell since he got his (former, I’m assuming) friend’s soon-to-be ex-wife Lauren Silverman pregnant a few months ago. Well, while Simon’s life has already been changed by his impending fatherhood, it’s about to change even more as he’s confirmed speculation that it’s a son he’s expecting… and that he plans to marry Lauren. Nothing like a shotgun wedding borne out of strict adherence to traditional standards and no actual desire to be married!

Speaking about his approach to parenting, Cowell joked: “The baby has to have an English accent!”
The 53-year-old then said of Silverman, who agreed a divorce settlement with millionaire ex-husband Andrew in August: “I wouldn’t expect Lauren to be a single mother.”
Well… lovely, I guess? I’m sure that marriage will last and will be a match made in heaven. Ugh, what’s wrong with people?
That was a pretty evasive answer. I took that more to mean that he’s not going to leave her high and dry, with respect to the baby. He’s not going to marry her. No way.
