5Amanda Bynes Wore This To Court

Amanda Bynes turned up to court in New York this morning in her “white Nicki Minaj” get-up. A lot of people might think she looks a hot mess, but come on – this is a total upgrade for her. That blue wig is looking official and she looks like she took a bath. The clothes are a bit “pick-up basketball at the W. 4th St. courts”, but she’s giving off super casual vibes. Maybe not the vibes you want to give off in a court of law, but hey, Amanda Bynes marches to the beat of her own drummer.

The court date was for Amanda to answer to the charges of her throwing that bong out her window a few months back, but TMZ says not much happened in the courtroom and she barely said anything. The judge dismissed the case until August 26, but Amanda doesn’t have to appear until a month after that.

I don’t even know what’s going on with this girl anymore. I really, really don’t.

Agreed, this is the best hair she’s had in a long time.

I don’t understand why courts call people in for court only to dismiss it until another date. I mean, you’re there, why not get it done and overwith?

Besides, no guarantee what she’s going to look like next time she’s in court.

The short answer is Lawyers ask for hearings to be delayed so they can deal with pre-trial issues and hearings such as the discovery process where each side shares what evidence they have, the actual process of gathering evidence and getting depositions done if necessary among other steps. Half the time pre-trial hearings last only 10 minutes which is why clients(defendants) can waive their appearance until they are actually needed in the courtroom.
