So, here’s a thing that’s happening: The Rocky musical is coming to Broadway! I didn’t even know that a Rocky musical was a thing, but it’s been going in Germany since last year (of course it has) and will be premiering in New York in February 2014. Sylvester Stallone will be bankrolling the production, along with Stage Entertainment USA.
Here’s what he had to say about it:
“I couldn’t be more proud or more excited about this production and how my original story of Rocky Balboa has been brought to spectacular life on stage.”
Well, fair enough. Personally, there’s not anything I’d like to see less than Rocky on Broadway, but then again, I’m sure it’ll do really well and people will flock to see it.
