Is Benedict Cumberbatch Secretly Married?

Noooo, Sherlock, how could you do this to us?! And by “us” I mean the people who would actually be upset about this – of which I am not one, alas. Regardless, rumour has it that Benedict Cumberbatch has gone and got married and he didn’t tell any of you.

From The London Daily News (via whatever this site even is):

Reports from the London Daily News yesterday (March 29, 2013), suggest the 36-year-old British actor has secretly got hitched to his long-term relationship.

There had already been speculation that the loved-up pair were set to announce their engagement but it sounds like they might have just jumped straight to wedded bliss! The paper says the actor has been spotted wearing a new wedding ring earlier this week.

The couple is said to have exchanged vows in an intimate morning ceremony at a secret location, before few close friends and family members.

LOL, could they have any less information about this? Not the gender of his partner, not the ceremony, the location, nothing. I call bullshit, but whatever. So long as it wasn’t his stalker he married.

    • I know what you mean I came across it and it said the same thing for Tom hanks , Colin firth and Matthew Brodick and how long have they been married for. I even know the website name it is mediamass.net check it out the other classic thing is that they refer to Rebecca hall as a man.

  • He was in a relationship with Olivia Poulet for like, more than a decade, so that would be who they’re referring to. Though I thought they did break up a little while back.

  • That “Media Mass” site is hilarious. They have the same stories about every celebrity. For instance, here are some headlines from the site about Benedict Cumberbatch:

“Did He Get Married Over the Weekend?”
“Death Hoax says “Actor Dies at 36””
“His Beloved Dog Recovering from Surgery”
    “Benedict Cumberbatch goes ‘Gangnam Style’”

And here are some headlines about Selena Gomez from the same site:

“Did She Get Married Over the Weekend?”
“Death Hoax says “Actress Dies at 20”
“Her Beloved Dog Recovering from Surgery”
    “Selena Gomez goes ‘Gangnam Style'”

And in EACH AND EVERY ONE of these articles it says “UPDATE 01/04/2013 : This story seems to be false.”

Also, “The London Daily News” is a publication that DOES NOT EXIST. Nooo such thing. That site made it up.

I’m going to go ahead and say that this website is not a reliable source.

    • I totally agree with you on that did u see what they wrote about Stephen hawking how bad was that and also what they wrote about Rebecca hall.

  • If you click on the ‘this story seems to be false’ link on the mediamass page it says that ‘The ‘People’ section is a humorous parody of Gossip magazines, all stories are obviously not true.’

Except it’s not really obvious they’re not true at all. Also the date on their articles seems to change to the current day. I saw this article a couple of weeks ago. Very odd website.
