Gwyneth Paltrow Talks More Shit, Claims Her Diet Changed Her Marriage to Chris Martin

gwyneth paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow must be as high as a kite from eating psychotropic herbs from her greenhouse garden or something. That’s the only excuse for the absolute shit she spews about her thoughts on food. First she admits that she deprives her kids of anything with gluten in it, and now she’s claiming that her “clean” eating made her “feel lighter and [her] emotions get smoother”, thereby improving her marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Oh, brother.

From Self:

“I had a lot of unexpressed anger. I made everyone else’s feelings more important than my own. I’d suck it up and then be alone in my car yelling at traffic or fighting with hangers in my closet when they got stuck together.”

“You’re not learning anything unless you’re having the difficult conversations. Dealing with things directly changed my relationships. Sometimes when you get clear about who you are, others get less comfortable because they liked who you were. It’s changed my marriage, too, but he’s up for the challenge.”

Listen, there’s no doubt that what you eat and the overall lifestyle you live can have a massive effect on your moods and stuff, but I’ve gone nutso for a few months at a time and being really restrictive with what I eat and it didn’t improve my relationships or any of that shit. Mostly I had more energy and didn’t want to go to bed at 7pm, but I guess everyone is different. I just wish Gwyneth Paltrow would stop peddling this bullshit “diet” she follows that is not only COMPLETELY unhealthy, but not doable for most people. STOP THE MADNESS.

  • Actually the gluten free diet, while extreme, IS doable. Individuals with celiac disease must follow it or they will spend their life very VERY ill. Please fully research before you dictate that something is unhealthy.

    • yes, I have celiac & it’s rough but eating gluten is not an option if I don’t want to feel tired & angry & a host of other things all the time. When something you eat makes it impossible to concentrate I can completely understand how not eating it anymore improves relationships.

    • It isn’t just gluten free that she is promoting though, that’s the thing. I think everyone can benefit from at least a lower gluten diet. But she has cut out many protein sources and dairy sources her children should probably be having — especially if they aren’t actually allergic.

  • Having a clean diet and a healthier lifestyle has definitely improved my relationships with people. Prior to this, I found myself sluggish and cranky. I didn’t realize that though until I changed up my eating habits. So…I believe her. I just think the real issue you (and other bloggers here) have taken with Gwyneth is her attitude, overall. She does come off as rather snooty and holier-than-thou, but that doesn’t mean her message is worthless.

  • But the percentage of celiacs is very, very small. And Goop is pretty much starving her kids at a time when they need ample amounts of food to, you know, grow and stuff.

  • ^ this. Children’s brains grow at a rapid rate at certain key times in their lives, if they are not getting a balanced diet, they are up for a whole host of problems.

    • * why would someone need to be “up for the challenge” of having a happier, more content spouse? I think she’s having a Freudian slip there.

  • I’m SO SICK of hearing her tell the world how wonderful she is and how great her life is. Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.

    • Kind of like people who misquote Shakespeare. The quote is: The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

      • I think if I were quoting the Bard I would have used quotations. I was ripping on Gwyneth. I do know a bit about the Bard since I happen to be doing my PhD dissertation I’m English Lit right now. This is a gossip site, douche.

  • This image of Gwyneth fighting with hangers is making me roll my eyes so hard it hurts. God, I want pull a Michael Lohan and kick her in the vagina so hard!
