Beyoncé Lost 57lbs In 3 Months After Giving Birth

How is losing nearly 60 lbs in just 3 months after shooting a baby out of your nether regions humanly possible outside of like, The Biggest Loser, where they eat about 600 calories and work out about 8 hours per day and have roughly 150 – 200+ pounds to lose, thereby making all of that easier (but still super unhealthy)? Well, that’s pretty much what Beyoncé is saying happened to her after Blue Ivy graced the world with her presence.

From Shape:

“I gained 57lbs when I was pregnant. I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight, because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again.

“I’m not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape. For me dancing is what keeps me active. Not everyone is supposed to be the same.

“Be healthy and take care of yourself, but be happy with the beautiful things that make you, you.”

Aight, I’m with the body positivity and appreciate that Bey is open about the fact that most Hollywood stars aren’t stick figures without either starving themselves and/or spending every spare second at a gym (or any other number of unsavory procedures that I probably can’t even fathom), but I also don’t believe that Beyoncé didn’t take part in that whole process if she lost 57 lbs in 3 months. I just don’t.

Of course, I’m waiting for some of y’all to pipe up with how she didn’t really lose that much because she didn’t gain that much because she was never really pregnant. I await you, naysayers. You make my days worth it.

  • “she didn’t really lose that much because she didn’t gain that much because she was never really pregnant.”

I think that sums it up!

    • I agree!!!! Kimchee. This is all true, someone that is in the entertainment world, and in my opinion , struggled with weight issues is not going to go thru a pregnancy. if they have other means. This was all STAGED for her to look like she was really pregnant. Been there myself…………………after giving birth, YOU CAN’T EXCERSIZE FOR AT LEAST 4 TO 6 . YOU R SORE !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She didn’t gain 57 pounds. Are you kidding me? We saw pictures and videos of her during her entire pregnancy, doubting she was even pregnant, and now we’re supposed to believe she gained 57 pounds?
If Jessica Simpson gained 70lbs, which is absolutely believable, there is just no way that it was 60lbs for Beyonce.
But I’m sure it’s going to be 60 for Kim Kardashian.

  • Having had 2 babies in the last 2 years I can just inform the people that have never given birth that you actually lose 20-30 lbs right after delivery due to baby+placenta+fluids. So if she had 20-30 left plus breastfeeding and eating healthy AND working out, yup totally possible.
Ps. If she wasnt really pregnant itd be impossible to lactate.

    • Agreed. I lost 45 lbs within 3 months of giving birth to my daughter, and I didn’t have the money to invest in a personal trainer or nutritionist as most celebrities do so I’d have to say it’s definitely possible. Considering these people make careers out of the condition of their bodies I’m sure they work their asses off to get back into shape as quickly as possible.

      • I should add I did not breastfeed, though I have friends that say they’ve lost a lot of weight while breastfeeding.

    • Noni, perhaps. But I too had two kids. After my second pregnancy, during which I was more cautious about what I ate and exercised, I remember feeling like I dropped a ton of weight with the birth. About a week and a half after my baby was born, I happily jumped on the scale. I’d lost 8 pounds.

      My baby weighed 7.

Flash forward, 1 and 1/2 years later. I seriously work out 6 days a week for 45 minutes a day, watch what I eat (mostly). I still am carrying an extra 5-10. It’ll come off. It did with the first. But not until later. And not without a lot of effort.

  • Can we move on from over-analysing Beyonce? Ppl who like her accept what she is saying at face value. Ppl who hate her will dissect every sentence to find proof that she is a liar.

    • Of course, I’m waiting for some of y’all to pipe up with how she didn’t really lose that much because she didn’t gain that much because she was never really pregnant. I await you, naysayers. You make my days worth it.

So, No. We can not move on. It is our task to do what we do.

  • I don’t want to upset the ladies who have been pregnant, but in Beyonce’s case, the math just don’t work. You have to GAIN 57 pounds in order to LOSE 57 pounds and she gained maybe 37 pounds and that’s a generous over-statement, in my opinion.

  • Her breasts were the same size before, during and after pregnancy. That’s what made me so positive that she couldn’t have been pregnant. Usually, breasts get bigger when a woman is pregnant…..but not Beyonce. Find a single busty looking preggo pic of her….I dare anyone.

  • Anyone who refuses to believe that she wasn’t really pregnant is doing a great job at ignoring all of the evidence that overwhelmingly points to bitch ho was never preggers.

  • Saying things like “she never had a baby” sound crazy… to people who don’t know Hollywood or the entertainment business. It’s really not that crazy and she’s not the only person who has done it. It’s also pretty obvious.

I don’t even think there is a child. Now THAT sounds crazy, I know, but I would except her to flaunt the shit out of it if there was, especially since she did this to further her dying career. How many pictures or videos are there of this supposed baby? 2? Come on…

  • A person can lose up to 20 pounds a month. They don’t have to be a celebrity or exercise all day every day. A person can do this by eating fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Or by juicing. 1=20lbs 2=40lbs 3=60lbs. I don’t believe she’s lieing. Plus Bey has a personal chef who prepares meals to keep her on her diet. 57 pounds in three months sounds very possible. She also said she scheduled a show 3 months sfter she gave birth. Which means she constantly had to rehearse.

  • Really Truthis!!!!!! Are you a lady or man ???? Sounds like you never gave birth or have much knowledge about it. First, after giving birth, however it was, exercise can’t be started for 6wks !!!!! so that leaves her 6 weeks to still loose weight , get back into shape after pregnancy and too even get into shape for her performance. IMPOSSIBLE

  • I’ve said it before these ppl don’t do anything for free. With the millions and millions of dollars out there for celeb weight loss if she was actually pregnant why didn’t she take the money to lose the weight they all do AND you better believe the programs would have lined up for Miss B and would have thrown truck loads of money at her to be the spokes person for them. She didn’t because she would have been commiting fraud
