Blackberry Creative Director Alicia Keys Actually Uses An iPhone – Oops!

Alicia Keys may not actually be a ‘girl on fire’, but her pants sure are (see what I did there?). Despite serving as a creative director for Blackberry, it turns out… she actually uses an iPhone! The jig is up, because she accidentally tweeted on Monday from the Twitter for iPhone app, probably not realising that anyone else would notice. It wasn’t even a good tweet, either, just a lyric from the new Drake song, which was super disappointing.

That’s neither here nor there, however. Despite having told The New York Times last week that she only uses the Blackberry Z10, she clearly has enough sense in her everyday life to realise that Blackberrys are useless unless you’re a suit & tie businessman (or woman) who needs the Enterprise feature. Other than that, iPhones or Androids are the way to go.

Of course, Alicia went the route that all stars do whenever they’ve been caught out doing something stupid: they lie and claim they were “hacked”. Yeah, hacked by the slow part of your own brain that wasn’t on top of what you’re doing on the internet.

Girl, nobody believes that shit, okay? And also, pretty much no one with any common sense is going to blame you for using… well, anything but a Blackberry. I’d rather have one of those old Motorolas that were like walkie talkies that everyone had and would use on the bus so that everyone could hear your entire conversation than go back to a Blackberry.

  • Hilarious. Also, I saw a great joke about how she should be the new spokesperson for Vagisil…you know…because of “girl on fire”…teeheehee

  • Ahah everyone I know who has a BB hates it with a passion. I’m so glad I never got one and instead just got an Android. They’re by no means perfect but BBs give so many problems!

    • We are iPhone junkies in my house but my husbands broke late Sunday night and he had to go to work on Monday morning so we went threw our junk draw and there it was the old Nokia ! We put his SIM card in and charged it and it worked :) we were laughing our asses off ! He used it all day Monday until we went and picked his new iPhone up and when we walked in and showed them what he used for the day they were all laughing as well ! Some of the kids in there were so young they had no idea what it was ! Needless to say we brought it back home and put it back in the junk draw just in case !!!

  • I love my BlackBerry so much. Tried the iPhone and hated how restrictive it is! I couldn’t even set a song and put it as my alarm for the mornings when I had one! The Z10 is by far the best phone I’ve used and completely kills the iPhone’s keyboard.

I also imagine Ms. Keys has a whole team behind her (i.e., a PR firm) who does things like tweets for her.

  • yes, i love my blackberry too!!! so much easier to type on
and i’m not a teenage girl so don’t need to watch movies/listen to music/etc on my phone

  • It is interesting how when someone is praising the iPhone they are sensible but if someone likes the BB they are “employees”. I am not a BB employee. I am a working adult male and I love the blackberry because of the ease of use with keyboard and all. I am sure if the iPhone and others such as Samsung add a keyboard I would be just as interested, but until then my Torch/Torch2 will do…

  • Unquestionably believe that which you said.
Your favorite reason seemed to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I definitely get irked while people think about worries
that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top
as well as defined out the whole thing without having side-effects ,
people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more.
    Thanks
