I get it. While I was studying hard for my MA and taking the final exams, everyone was saying “oh you’ll pass, no problem,” and I was horrified that I wouldn’t, which would be excruciatingly embarrassing since everyone I knew, even people I didn’t like that much, was aware that I was testing for it.

I wouldn’t say she’s bragging when she says it would be embarrassing if she doesn’t get nominated; if everyone’s saying she should/will get nominated and then she doesn’t, that IS embarrassing.

People who go through a lot of physical changes for their role generally get nominated. Since she chopped off her hair and starved herself, I’d say she has a lock on it.
