Well, even though you are semi-correct (proofreading is done at the end of the phase after print; copy editing is likely what you meant), you were unpleasantly forceful about it.

It is likely that she’s not the editor for her own works.

In addition, you could’ve suggested “the site” instead of sight. Although I only saw the text after revision and the version of cite/sight/site might’ve been wrong.
