Guess The Celebrity: The Weird Tattoo Edition

I actually don’t hate this tattoo. It’s nothing I would ever get, but I’ve definitely seen worse.

It’s pretty massive though, right? It’s just a huge head with horns right there on your arm, breathing fire and creeping everybody out. But here’s what it means, according to the owner of the new tattoo:

“New Ink…It represents my Astrological Birth Chart, along with Pagan, Buddhist, and Greco- Roman Archetypes related to balance and the life cycle….My chart is AQUARIUS Sun, Libra Rising, Aries Moon. All three are represented.”

Have any idea who it is? We don’t talk about him all that often anymore, but he’s definitely been seen around these parts. You’d probably recognize him by his hair and his eye makeup. Oh, and probably his crotch.

Guesses?

It’s Adam Lambert! He’s the proud new owner of a big creepy lady head tattoo! Do you love it?

Real talk: I have ulterior motives for discussing Adam’s new tattoo. Because, guys, I want a tattoo. My cousin is a very talented tattoo artist, and he refuses to charge family members ever, so I get free tattoos for life. For the past five years or so, I’ve been compiling a list of ideas, mulling them over and thinking about placement and design and all that. And a few weeks ago, something finally clicked, and I knew what I wanted to get. But I am such a wimp. I’m ok with pain when I know it’s coming, but it’s such a weird decision, to choose to have something on you for always. The tattoo I want is something that means a lot to me, and definitely something I’ll always love, but it’s such a commitment, you know?

Basically, is this a situation where you’d say “think about it for a while longer” or “go for it”?

  • I thought about getting a tattoo for quite a bit before getting my first one. And even after deciding i’d absolutely get it, I spent like a year looking for a tattoo artist I liked. I went to art school for a couple of years before changing majors, so I’m a little picky and annoying when it comes to art.

I got the second one the moment I finished the design, didn’t give it that much thought and is my favorite one.

If you’re completely sure you want to get it, and have no doubts about the design, go ahead and do it. Just don’t get a tramp stamp or I don’t know, a unicorn horn on your forehead.

  • hooray for more tattoo posts! well…it could be beautiful, however she has a wonk eye. : / nice detailing all around it though.

  • Emily go for it! I have 2 (and I’m done!), and yeah it hurts, but I’m a big wimp too and I survived. ;) Just make sure you have someone with you who can distract you and hold your hand and talk about random stuff :)

  • “AQUARIUS Sun, Libra Rising, Aries Moon”. Mine is Tinker Soldier Sailor Spy! How silly. But YES Emily, go get it. You won’t regret it, if anything you’ll regret the time you spent mulling it over so much. It does hurt, but you forget the pain and then you have something beautiful on you forever. I have a big piece on my thigh and one across my back and I love them.

  • Think about it! Really, who will want something on their body forever. I wish I didn’t get mine, although they don’t bother me that much.
