I’m sorry to hear that.

I find that getting a surrogate can help some. (Not a real one, because nothing will replace your lost pal.)

Ty and Hansa both make super-cute stuffed Guinea Pigs and it might ease your pain a bit, plus, you can make it kind of a memorial and every time you look over you get to remember.

*shrug* Guy knowledge. I’ve *never* seen it not bring a smile.

Condolences! Empathy!

Last year on Thanksgiving my hamster died. I’d had him for almost three years, which is insanely old for a hamster. I haven’t been able to get a “replacement” since the little guy was just the best possible hamster ever.

I had a ginea-pig too a few years ago and I was heartbroken when he died. My heart goes out to you, may he rest in peace.

My condolences Emily. Was he very old? I don’t even know how long guinea pigs live for.

Love is love, including inter-species love. I am always devastated when an animal I love dies. And not just for a day. I cried for a week when a dog I loved died, and mourned for a good long time after that.
