Scientology a cult? Say it ain’t so! I’m being sarcastic, of course. When I was 19 years old, I lived in Hollywood. While walking down Hollywood Blvd with a couple of friends one night, my friends and I were invited to take a personality test. Up for just about anything, we agreed and went into their storefront office. This was the late ’70s, long before Tom Cruise was synonymous with Scientology. After I took their personality test, they proceeded to tell me all that was wrong with me and how Scientology courses could help me fix everything — for a cost. I then stood up and proceeded to tell them, loudly and in no uncertain terms, all that was wrong with them. I went on at some length. Finally, they opined that perhaps Scientology wasn’t for me. Duh…ya’ think?

I don’t think he saw much of his daughter anyway. He is a Missing in Action Dad. It seems to me that he is a workaholic. He cut Nicole out of her kids life it would be the perfect karma if he got cut out of Suri’s. Not that I wish him ill will but for such a control freak it might be a little bit of his own medicine for someone to control him.

That’s the difference between “religion” and “cult” – cutting off contact with friends & family being a requirement of cults. Kind of like how husbands or wives control their significant other if they’re control freaks – like Scientologists or other cults.

Wow. I didn’t know that about scientology: having to cutoff people who aren’t involved in the Church or who have left it. How can they reasonably expect him to not see his own daughter or for other scientologists to cut off their families? That’s insane. It rubs me the wrong way when a Pope says that using condoms is against church practices, not that I subscribe to that crap, but there is absolutely no way that a religion could stand in the way of me seeing my own daughter just because of a divorce.
