Um. Wow.
So apparently, Billie Joe Armstrong, of Green Day fame, was pretty pissed at the iHeartRadio festival, and you want to know why? Because their twenty-one-minute set was cut to—-man oh man, burn—one minute in order to make room for other “more important” performers like Usher, who, DUH, is infinitely more talented and who has far more staying power than Green Day. Who, as Billie Joe eloquently pointed out, has been around since “198-f-cking-8.”
After refusing to perform for his whole one minute, Billie Joe threw a bunch of profanities at those in charge, destroyed his guitar, said they, Green Day, would be “back,” and slammed his microphone on the stage.
So. How do you guys think he handled himself, huh?

It’s being reported that Billie Joe Armstrong, AKA Green Day dude who freaked the f-ck out at the iHeartRadio music festival, has checked himself into rehab to deal with substance abuse issues:
Green Day’s front man Billie Joe Armstrong is entering rehab for substance abuse … a rep for the band tells TMZ.
The news comes just two days after Armstrong went ballistic in Vegas during a performance at the iHeart Radio Music Festival. He was videotaped screaming obscenities, slamming Justin Bieber and violently smashing his guitar on-stage.
The band’s rep tells TMZ, “Green day wants to apologize to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas.”
The rep adds, “The band regretfully must postpone some of their upcoming promotional appearances.“
To be fair…ONE MINUTE? What’s the f*cking point of a one-minute set? I would be pissed too.
The only really sad thing about all this is that the only thing that could make Billie Joe demand some respect and diss Justin Bieber in 2012 is a chemical dependency. Well, so much for the return of the punk rock Green Day…

He was mad because they cut down his 45minute set play to 25 minutes so that Usher could play longer to be fair. I would be pissed too.
Well maybe this will make Green Day realise that their pathetic, shitty excuse for “rock ” (or “punk rock” or whatever the hell they think they’re doing) sucks and noone wants to be subjected to an entire set of their shitty music.
Aye aye aye. Gimme a break. Substance abuse? How about brain abuse?

I would be pissed, too, but I would have refused to go on the f*ck, f*ck, f*ckity, f*ckin’ stage!

Folks, lets be real. I was there and saw it ALL. Usher was not on for 45 minutes. What happened was that they stuck Psy and these 2 girls who are trying to break into the biz into the schedule. Psy only got invited a couple days beforehand. The show started 45 minutes late anyway.
All that said, Green Day played 1 decent song (Holiday) and spent 10 minutes mouthing off f-everything and bitching about time. Then we waited FOREVER for Rihanna to come out. What no one has posted was that 1/2 the crowd was leaving in droves during Rihanna’s 2nd and 3rd songs. She sucked. She should not have been lipsyncing to badly as she did. HOWEVER, they gave her 45 minutes – 10 songs. She was not worth it.
Everything else was fantastic!
