From TMZ:

Sylvester Stallone’s son, Sage Stallone, died from a heart attack … and no drugs were found in his system … TMZ has learned.

The L.A. County Coroner has determined Sage died from natural causes. As for why he had a heart attack, we’re told there was evidence of heart disease.

A source connected with the Coroner tells TMZ … it was “unusual” for a person Sage’s age — 36 — to have such advanced coronary problems, but that’s what killed him.

Sage’s body was found July 13, but he may have been dead days earlier.

As previously reported, Sage Stallone died back in July from what appeared to be a drug overdose. The full report has come back, and Sage was actually found to have coronary artery disease, which, even though I’m no doctor, obvs, I thought primarily affected older people with longer histories of poor lifestyle choices such as smoking, consuming high-cholesterol foods, and avoiding exercise. What a shame that Sage, so young, had to succumb to a heart attack (or hell, really anything at the age of thirty-six) after all was said and done. Poor Sage.

Get yourselves checked, guys.

And yes, I am one of those people when I read about diseases and disorders affecting others, I automatically worry that I might have that, too. Crazy, right? Excuse me while I go find out what tests my insurance will cover for no reason other than I WANT THEM.

  • I actually just had a check on my heart murmur, which I’ve known about since I was four. My ribs are all bruisey today because the dude was trying to push an instrument between them. Apparently ribs can be uncomfortably close to each other. :)
