Adam Levine Doesn’t Care About The Kardashians

From Too Fab:

Clearly Adam Levine doesn’t keep up with the Kardashians.

In a new interview, Levine takes a few jabs at Kim K.’s E! show — questioning why anyone would watch a program like that in the first place.

When asked if he watched “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” during an interview with Australia’s “Kyle & Jackie O Show” he quickly replied, “No, because I don’t care!”

“My life is beautiful because I don’t,” he adds. “The funniest part about it is it’s not disrespectful or anything, but I like artfulness. I don’t need to watch someone go to the f*cking supermarket, who gives a shit? Why would you ever care about that, you can go do that yourself!”

Of course, Adam is a coach on the reality competition “The Voice” — but he says it’s different than doing an actual reality show.

“I’m a huge fan of keeping a lot to myself, otherwise you just become this joke,” he says. “I’m not living my life on television, I’m doing my job.”

Ugh.

But really, this could be one of the top twenty ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. If your life is beautiful, that’s awesome, that’s truly wonderful, but if your life is beautiful just because you don’t watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians, then you might want to reconsider your definition of beautiful. If you don’t want to watch it, that’s fine, and if you think it’s completely stupid and pointless, then that’s totally fair, because it is completely stupid and pointless. But sometimes people are just having a rough time*, and sometimes people just don’t want to watch something “artful.” On occasion, people can enjoy mindless, dumb entertainment, and that doesn’t mean that their lives are any less beautiful than the lead singer of Maroon 5’s.

Besides, maybe Adam could claim that he liked artfulness over mindlessness a few years ago, but then he did “Moves Like Jagger.” If he believes that that song qualified as artful, then this problem is way bigger than I could have ever imagined.

*Seriously, I started watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians during one of the worst times in my life because I knew it would be completely absurd and I knew that it would take my mind off of everything. Totally worked, by the way.
