Isn’t he just? God. I’d have to say that this baby is almost—almost!—as cute as mine, but I’d only be being nice and non-biased if I said that, you know.
Also, I love Hilary Duff because she’s so focused on her baby and her new family and not doing all sorts of crazy things like rushing to get back into the grind of working, and exercising like a crazy person, and cutting calories like her life depends on it. She’s just a normal chick who happens to be an actress married to an athlete. I know we don’t run into them very often, guys, but this is definitely one. Hilary says about her easy labor and easy baby:
“I feel weird, because it seems like I’m bragging, but he sleeps from like 11 to six. It is possible, ladies. It didn’t happen right away, but the past three weeks, he’s an 11 to 6er. … [As for the labor] it was very easy. I went into labor at about one in the morning and I very calmly had my bags packed and woke my husband up after about three hours of walking up and down my hallway. Then I’m like, ‘Okay, it’s time to go, let’s go now.’ We got in the car and drove to the hospital and that was it. We waited all day and [at that point] everyone is hungry. We’re southern and from Texas and my mom and sister actually went down to the commissary to the food court area. Things start rolling and all of the sudden the doors bust open and my sister and my mom come flying in and they’re like, ‘We got barbeque chips and root beer, guys!’ I’m like, ‘What? I’m pushing.’”
And on what’s been going on with her body post-delivery:
“I’m not stressing about it. I’m working out hard, but I know I’m not going to see results until I’m eating really good. I try to eat organic, but I’m not a total freak about it. I eat a lot of protein and a lot of fruits and vegetables. When we [husband Mike Comrie and I] go out to restaurants, we want to order naughty food and enjoy it.”
I just love this girl. Now, if we could just get her into a decent movie for once, do you know how much better things could be then?
