Love It or Leave It: Rooney Mara’s Got Hair

So, is it me, or does Rooney Mara kind of look like a long-lost Olsen twin with this long, ratty-looking, two-toned hair? The ‘do is for her upcoming movie, ‘The Bitter Pill’, which, according to IMDB, is about a lady learning to cope with her husband after his release from prison:

A woman turns to prescription medication as a way of handling her anxiety concerning her husband’s upcoming release from prison.

Others in the film include Catherine Zeta-Jones, Channing Tatum, and Jude Law.

Also, I realize that we kind of go back and forth about Rooney Mara here on the site. No, really, we do. A lot of you guys are probably saying, “Why, what has Rooney ever done to you?” but it’s because a lot of other people think that Rooney-girl’s gotten a little big for her britches since this whole ‘Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ business. Don’t you remember what she said about her guest role on ‘Law & Order: SVU’? Something to the tune of it being “awful” and “stupid” and how people are “so obsessed with that show” and she doesn’t understand why? And then when we’d gone and almost forgotten about her bridge-burning ways, she went and slammed her role in the ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ reboot? This is, and I quote, what she had to say about the epic role of Nancy Thompson:

“You kind of learn to self-sabotage with things you don’t want to get. Sometimes you don’t want to get something but you do a really good job and you get in anyway. That’s kind of [what happened] with A Nightmare on Elm Street – I didn’t even really want it. And then I went in [to audition] and I was like, [whispering] ‘F*ck. I definitely got that’.”

I’m sorry. I just can’t get behind something that awful-sounding. Honestly, I didn’t think the movie was that bad, and to be quite frank, it was apparent that Rooney didn’t want the role that other girls in her position probably would have killed for, because she was definitely the worst part of the movie. I mean, the word “miscast” doesn’t even come close.

Wonder how soon she’ll throw ‘The Bitter Pill’ under the bus after all’s said and done. Unless, you know, the film gets all kinds of awards and accolades. Then I’m sure she’ll keep her big, fat mouth shut.
