This was Madonna’s response to Deadmau5’s Facebook blitz yesterday, calling her out for being a f-cking fame troll and for glamorizing drug use in club music lovers. Madonna, if you were unaware, asked the crowd at a music festival, “How many people in this crowd have seen molly?”, which is a reference to the drug ecstasy. Deadmau5 blasted girlfriend for condoning – and promoting – drug use, and this was her random-assed, far-out, wicked hard-to-believe response. Of course.
Deadmau5 responded to the Tweet:
“Fair enough, I was just voicing my concerns as I usually do. +1 respect for clearing it up personally … regardless, just be a little more aware of what you should represent at EDM events, and I’ll watch my mouth.”
To which Madonna, “taking the high road,” said:
“Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up ‘privately.’ ;) See you on the road.”
And Deadmau5 closed out the conversation by saying:
“well there you have it kids. i’ve said what i needed to say, which ill still stand by, and so did she. life goes on. no more talk of that.”
So more or less, Deadmau5 is no stupid mau5, and knows that Madonna’s completely full of shit and fillers. Much like we all thought to begin with, but you know, sometimes it’s just nice to have other people reinforce your thoughts, no matter how unpopular they can be at times.
Whatever her stupid excuse is for the “molly” thing, she still named her album MDNA..unless that also isn’t a veiled reference to MDMA/E and it’s actually referring to the Machinery Dealers National Association.

What’s the deal with her eyes?
I still don’t see the big deal in this. She was at a fucking techno/electronica festival, was referring to a song, and just made a tongue-in-cheek comment. The funny thing is that half the people in that audience were probably actually on Molly. What’s the big? She was at a place, in time, where the comment was relevant. It’s not like she’s some 16 year old new pop star trying to be a role model. Bitch is 54 years old…the last thing she’s trying to be is a role model. In fact, she never tried to be one. She cuts her own path, carves out her own place in the world, and if she wants to make a reference like that, I don’t really see the problem. I’m not a Madonna lover (New CD? terrible.) but is this really a big story? No. She popped up, made a funny, dance for 6 minutes while a new remix of her crappy song was played, and bounced. Hardly news. Do you think if Deadmau5 was around back when her SEX book came out, he would be talking about how she shouldn’t be glamorizing bondage and sleeping with Vanilla Ice? Get over yourself, Mau5.
But of course, everyone in the audience got the Cedric Gervais link! Not. And Deadmau5 knows she’s blowing smoke in his face (passed on from Lourdes?) – he’s thinking of the impact on his career of continuing this fight with one of the best known figures in music, and backed way down. But fair play to him for taking her on in the first place
