Look, There Are Photos of Hugh Jackman on The Set of Les Mis!

A photo of Hugh Jackman

I realize that there is only a small handful of you guys who are super, super excited about the film adaptation of the musical version of Les Miserables. I know that. And that’s ok. Musicals are not for everyone, and even if they were, musicals like Les Mis are certainly not for everyone. But they are and this is definitely for a few of us. And those few can rejoice, because we have the first photos taken from the set!

The photos feature Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, but there’s also one in there of Colm Wilkinson, the man who originated the role and who is making a cameo as the bishop. But check out Hugh’s beard and those scars on his head! I have to admit, I was a little worried that he’d be too pretty to really be believable as Valjean, but it looks like I was wrong. I never should have doubted you, Hugh!

You guys, I just … ugh. I’m way, way too excited for this. Did I tell you about how I’m going to go to the premiere in costume? Because I’m going to go to the premiere in costume. I’m just nerdy as hell like that, I thought you knew. Everything isn’t in place just yet, since we have until December, but I know that my boyfriend is going to have to take a sit down while we draw the 24601 on his chest. He’s never seen or heard Les Mis, he’s just a team player.

Is anyone else this pumped for the movie?

  • I love the realism of a starving man just getting out of prison. If you stopped to have some brewsky after that long, you just might have blood on you head!
You need a rest period after all you’ve done these past months.
I have a son, special forces working with the State Dept. I think at least a day I cried and sang “Bring him home.” He was with the group that rescued Jessica Lynch in the beginning of the war.
His team of 6 dug up the bodies and pured lime on. They told him to much time, get what you can and get out of there. They stayed over night digging with their bare hands. They flew back with bodies to their famlies.
You did not leave Marius either. You brought your daughters love home. That is you. YOU are love and light.

  • Carol? Are you the same Carol Maresca that I’ve seen having one-sided dialogues with Hugh Jackman on his facebook page and pretending she knows him personally and babysits his kid, etc.? Sorry but Special Forces soldiers are not supposed to divulge any details of what they do on their “missions”. I know this because I am married to one and, because of their code of honor, he tells me very little about his missions even though he’s retired.

    • Carol does this on Robert Downey Jr.’s (so-called) Facebook page too. She/he, because we really don’t know, has entertained me with wild-fiction about Marrying RDJ and other things. Very questionable individual.
