Aww, you guys, look at that adorable child! Those sweet jeans, that badass guitar! Any ideas on who that could be?
Really, this shouldn’t be that hard, just think about it for a minute. She’s obviously a talented musician, and judging by the way I’m talking about her, it should also be obvious that I like her. Can you think of any redheaded ladies who used to be cute babies and who are now involved in the music world that I enjoy? Anyone?

It’s Adele! Surprise, except not at all, right? This is probably one of the easier “guess the celebrities” we’ve ever had here, but that’s neither here nor there, because have you gathered what this whole entire story is about? It’s about how we have pictures of Adele as one of the most adorable small children (she’s four years old in that picture above) that I’ve ever seen. Keep in mind how I’ve also seen that baby picture of Lea Michele, which, in case you’ve forgotten, was also monstrously adorable. So yeah, this is a pretty big deal.
But wait! There’s more! These wonderful pictures also come with a story from her estranged father, Mark Evans! How delightful!

Even from a very young age, Adele Adkins was clearly destined for great musical things. Because as this picture shows, the award-winning singer songwriter was meant to play the guitar, even one made by Fisher Price. The photo, taken from her personal album, shows the star at the tender age of four, sitting on an amplifier. She looked cute as a button in jeans, green trainers and an orange T-shirt as she strummed the toy guitar and looked shyly at the camera.
The snap was taken at her father Mark Evans’s house in South Wales when their relationship was very different to the one they have now. And in a series of snaps, taken from her album, she is seen at the house on another occasion and one photo shows her aged just nine months being bounced on his knee.
Mark walked out on Adele when she was just two years old but even though they saw each other a lot, she disowned him two years ago and feels that he has betrayed her. In a recent interview with American Vogue, she said “If I ever see him, I will spit in his face. He will never hear from me again.”
But he was there when she first picked up a guitar, the little red one that her mother Penny had bought her from a charity shop. She took it with her on a visit to see her father and he recalled recently “She was teaching herself how to play it by listening to the old blues songs we used to listen to on my record player, then trying to make the same noise. She was quite good. Within a couple of years, she’d started singing along, too.”
