Judging by that big ol’ ring right square on her weddin’ fanger, I’d say that yeah, I guess there’s a solid chance that Adele could be engaged. I’d also be a little hurt that my imaginary BFF didn’t call me to tell me about it, but that’s neither here nor there. What is both here and there is that Adele’s possible future husband, Simon Konecki, has only been in the picture for a few months. Oh, and there’s a good possibility that he’s still technically married. Yikes.
But hooray, they’re totally in love!
Adele was sporting a 10.57 carat De Beers ring at the Oscars and now sources say it’s her engagement ring and she’s tying the know this year!
Adele won’t be singing sad love ballads anymore! The 23-year-old singer is reportedly head-over-heels in love with her boyfriend Simon Konecki and friends of the couple say Adele is itching to walk down the aisle!
“Adele and Simon feel like they’re already engaged,” a source tells Life & Style. “And she wants to get married this year. She’s been longing to settle down with a man who will treat her well. She feels Simon is the one — and doesn’t see the point in waiting.”
Adele purchased a sprawling $9.5 million country estate in West Sussex, England and that’s reportedly where she’ll hold a laid back ceremony.
“She’s not the type of girl who wants a massive church wedding, hundreds of guests and photo rights sold and tons of security,” the source continues. “She would want everyone to let their hair down and have fun without anything too posh.”
Although they haven’t been dating very long the source believes Simon, 36, and Adele are the perfect match!
“He is much more mature than any other guy she’s dated. He has life experience.”
Ok, I can’t really say anything about “whoa, Adele’s moving way too fast,” because, uh, I moved kind of fast too. I met my boyfriend in May, we moved in together in November, and then he proposed in December. We’re getting married next April (we just set the date, and my best friend just sent me a rough sketch of the wedding dress she’s designing and building for me, can you believe it?!). I believe that sometimes, things just work out, and if you know, you know. But here’s what’s different about me and Adele: I don’t have a history of getting into really intense relationships with somewhat shady dudes and then getting my heart seriously, seemingly irreparably broken. Also, my boyfriend is not already married. That is another important important difference.
Despite the fact that this doesn’t look crazy good right now, I really hope that if Adele is engaged, she’s truly happy, and that she really picked a good one this time. I hope that she never has to write a tragic song of lost love ever, ever again.
