Lindsay Lohan Sure Has A Busy Week Ahead

A photo of Lindsay Lohan

You guys. I’m going to love this week. I am going to cherish it and hold it close to my heart for the rest of my days. And do you know why? Because this is the week that Lindsay Lohan is set to host Saturday Night Live. And that is a Big Deal, for obvious reasons (Lindsay’s getting her life on track! Lindsay’s acting again! Hooray! Hurrah!). But it’s a Bigger Deal for a reason that you might not have heard yet. Do you want to hear about it? Yes. You do.

From TMZ:

Lindsay Lohan has been the butt of jokes on “Saturday Night Live” for years, but TMZ has learned that this coming Saturday … the LiLo jokes will be made by Lindsay herself.

As TMZ first reported, Lindsay has been dying to do “SNL” as a way to re-establish her career and reached out to Lorne Michaels personally to make it happen.

According to our sources, Lindsay plans on using all the unpleasantness from the last few years as fodder for the show. We’re told Lindsay has already told “SNL” that she is game for anything and nothing is off limits.

Our sources say Lindsay wants to show that she is “in on the joke” — so expect to see references to any number of DUIs, alleged necklace thievery, jail stints, mug shots … and on and on.

Let me repeat the most important part of that: “she is game for anything and nothing is off limits.” I’m sorry, is it my birthday already? Is Christmas here again so soon? Did the world invent a new holiday where all of my hopes and dreams come true? Because that’s what it feels like. If Lindsay Lohan herself makes a joke about her teeth … I don’t know, you guys. I feel like this might be too much wonderful.

But wait! There’s more! In addition to the SNL gig, Lindsay will also be appearing on The Today Show this week. Oh my stars and garters …

From Radar:

“Lindsay has agreed to go on The Today Show for a no holds barred interview. She has tremendous respect for Matt Lauer, who will most likely be doing the interview,” a source close to the actress tells RadarOnline.com. “Lindsay is a little nervous about hosting SNL, but that is to be expected. She is grateful for the opportunity and won’t let LorneMichaels (executive producer of the show), down.”

The source says that Lindsay’s Today Show interview will air Thursday.

Again, the most important part: “a no holds barred interview.” It seems like Lindsay is really up to talk about anything and everything, right? I wonder if that’s a good sign that she’s really taking things seriously this time or if she’ll just pull a Chris Brown and storm out of the interview when she gets asked a question she doesn’t like, then go backstage and throw a chair through a window and then huff and puff her way outside with her shirt off. I wonder which one of those options would be better in the long run.

How excited are you guys for Lindsay’s big week?
