I mostly know Tracy Morgan from that one time he revealed himself to be a gigantic douchebag with no feelings and no soul by saying that if he had a gay son, he would stab him to death, but I also remember being somewhat bored by him during his time on Saturday Night Live. I don’t watch 30 Rock and no one I know watches 30 Rock (maybe it’s a regional thing? Do any of you guys in the South enjoy the show? This specific theory comes from the fact that one time I was wandering around a flea market, looking at some used DVDs, and a woman walked by, picked up a season of 30 Rock, and said “I don’t want nothin’ to do with no 30 Rock.” Any ideas?), so I really don’t know a whole lot about the dude other than those two things noted above.
Except now I know that Tracy Morgan probably has a substance abuse problem, based on this report of Tracy at the Sundance Film Festival:
Tracy Morgan was rushed to a hospital moments ago at the Sundance Film Festival — after the actor fell unconscious at an award ceremony … TMZ has learned.
Tracy was being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah — and sources tell TMZ, he appeared extremely intoxicated during his award acceptance speech
We’re told Tracy was escorted out of the building soon after his speech — and fell unconscious outside the building
Law enforcement sources tell us, an ambulance was then dispatched to Tracy’s location.
We’re told Tracy was picked up and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Calls to Tracy’s rep were not immediately returned.
And here’s the update:
Amy Roberts, a spokeswoman for Park City Medical Center, tells TMZ no drugs or alcohol were found in Tracy’s system upon medical evaluation.
Morgan’s rep, Lewis Kay, also released a statement saying, “From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention.”
Kay adds, “He is with his fiance and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false.”
Yeah, I’m not sure that I can believe that statement from good ol’ Amy over at the Park City Medical Center about how Tracy was totally clean. As I’m sure you all know, questionable behavior plus any sort of treatment for “exhaustion” usually add up to rehab. When we factor in that Tracy’s wife left him back in 2009 because of his drinking problem and that witnesses are telling TMZ that he “appeared extremely intoxicated,” it would seem that this guy has fallen off the wagon again, right?

He was at Benihana’s about a month ago (I went there for a friend’s brithday) and he would not shut up! He was speaking fake Japanese to get the waiters attention. Seriously who does that! And his gut made him look 7 months pregnant! He’s a douche, he’s an asshole, he’s rude and if “high altitude” gets him to shut up, then let’s move him to Mt Everst!
