I love her music, but I find her intoxicatingly ADORKABLE. It is not her fault that she is everywhere now; however what I don’t like for the most part is how she’s been put in a pedestal as if she were SUPER ALTERNATIVE, when actually she is just another Hollywood actress — a gorgeous, gorgeous girl with beautiful clothes. Also, New Girl is cringeworthy.

I’ve always loved Zooey, her style, and her singing. I can’t get behind New Girl, though, I think it’s just a terrible show.

I can’t say that I hate her because I only know her from the roles she plays and the interviews she does, she is probably different on a personal level. However, I just find this whole; quirky, different, weird but endearing persona so very tired. Normally, I’d think the promotion of these attributes in women a positive thing but I just can’t with her. She reminds me of a friend I used to have who felt the need to constantly declare how, “I’m really artistic so I get it”, “Oh my gosh, I’m such an honest person so…”, “Only I would do something that halarious”. It just comes off as false. She wanted people to think she was interesting so badly she felt that if she said it enough, it would actually be the case. It wasn’t, and Zooey isn’t. Also, if anyone in real life were to act the way her character does on ‘The New Girl’ they would be strapped in a straight jacket and carted off to an institution because NO ONE would ever want to be around that crazy, annoying shit.
