Oh, girl. We’ve been though so much, haven’t we, Britney? It’s been a hell of a ride these past few years, but today, on your 30th birthday, I think we’re in a good place. You’re getting things together, you’re getting your career back on track, and we’re very, very proud of you! Keep up the good work, sister!

Can we get into musical theatre for a minute, friends? Because that Les Mis movie is happening, and it’s happening fast. The release date is December 7th, 2012, and so far the cast includes Hugh Jackman as Val Jean, Russell Crowe as Javert, and Anne Hathaway as Fantine. Things are looking pretty good so far, but who will play the beloved Eponine?
Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood are all in the running for the highly coveted role of Eponine in Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper’s big-screen version of “Les Misérables,” sources tell us. A source close to the film confirmed that the four actors have all auditioned for the role. Another said that Michele “knocked it out of the park” when the “Glee” star — who played Young Cosette in the Broadway show — recently performed for the “King’s Speech” director. But it will be a tough choice because each star has her own magic ingredient for the musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel. “Scarlett brings acting ability, and she can really sing,” said the source. “Evan Rachel Wood brings her indie cred.” And casting Swift would mark a major move over to Hollywood films for the pop star.
You know, as much as I dislike the girl, Lea Michele is clearly the way to go here. Scarlett’s too old and just not right for the role, and you know I adore Evan Rachel Wood, and she’s definitely a strong second choice, but I’m just not feeling this for her. As for Taylor … please don’t make me explain why Taylor Swift would be a reprehensible casting choice.
I consider myself to be a pretty easygoing person. I can see the bright side in almost anything, and I try not to let things that bother me affect me too much. However there are some exceptions:
1. Lea Michele is the most annoying girl in Hollywood and she always manages to get under my skin.
2. You don’t make fun of Jessica Simpson. You can tease, but it always comes from a loving place. There is no excuse for being mean to Jessica Simpson.
3. David Bowie is sacred and he is not to be touched.
Yeah, I know I can get somewhat irrational over these things, but these are issues that are close to my heart, and I think it’s ok to believe in something. And that is why this Vogue cover of Kate Moss pulling a Ziggy Stardust bugs me so much. I know she’s done it before, and I know that it’s just one photo, but it’s the principal of the thing and it bothers me and I’m hormonal and get off my back, Mom, I’ll come get my books when I get a chance!
A couple weeks back, we showed you the teaser for Lady Gaga‘s latest music video, “Marry the Night.” A couple days back, I shared an interview Gaga did in which she called the video “autobiographical” and claimed she was “getting ready to relive the worst day of my life.” And now, we present to you the full 14 minutes of Gaga madness!
The video is autoplay, so it’s after the jump, but trust me, Lady Gaga directed this mess, it’s definitely worth a watch.
Remember earlier this last month when Carrie Fisher took William Shatner to task for a YouTube video he’d made? (Anyway, here it is again, and in it, Fisher presents a compelling argument that Star Wars was better than “Star Trek.”)
But now! William Shatner has struck back! In his response video, he teases Fisher for her recent weight loss. Then he argues that Star Wars only got by on its special effects, while “Star Trek” is more “hopeful.” Hmm!
The video is almost completely adorable, except for when Shatner insinuates that Fisher’s boobs are saggy, which is kind of a low (pun hardly intended!) blow. Still, Fisher’s last video was sorta asking for it.
Well? Who is winning this celebrity feud so far? (I love Fisher, but my money is all over Shatner.)
I would like to tell you that the term “retard” is very offensive to me. I am not offended because I ASSUME it would offend someone who has mental retardation. I am offened on how the word came to...
I am not offended that Rosie has a fear or anxiety of LP. I feel that when someone knows very little about things and or people they tend to be anxious. Think about it if you had never been around someone...
