I really think the Sally Hansen rapid dry nail polishes, and the mega shine top coat are THE BEST nail polishes out there. The colors are amazing, you only need one coat, and they’re cheap as hell too.

And i had no idea the K’s had a nail polish, so i don’t know if i’d get them or not…

I like the Brash polishes from Payless. Great color and coverage and super cheap. I can go a long time without reapplying, even without a top coat. I bought all the colors and threw away all my OPI polishes.

I’m a fan of Rimmel, too, and I’ve been dying to find a good red for the holidays. I’ll have to check that out!

The Rimmel polishes in the square bottles work great. I usually refresh the colour midweek to keep up shine, but rarely have problems with chipping. I’m too lazy to do a base and top coat. Orange sunset is nice with a tan, and burgundy flirt is a good winter red. They run about $4 at walmart or any drug store.

What you really need is a good top coat. That way even cheap nail polishes will stay on for a longer time. Seche vite works well, and you can usually find it on sale at Walgreen’s or Sally’s for under $10.

As far as polishes go… China glaze works well and is about $5 at Sally’s.

I like NYC, they do good stuff and it’s quite cheap too. H&M are good as well. I don’t know whether Barry M is sold in America, but I recommend them. I’d steer clear off Sephora, nothing but a disappointment. Essence are absolutely brilliant. However always try to use a top coat, then it’ll take a lot longer before the nail polish chips off.
Or maybe you put on too much? Try putting on two thin coats rather than a thick one. Thick ones chip off more easily.
