photo of taylor lautner for seventeen magazine pictures walking a dog photos pics

I kind of think I have a crush on Taylor Lautner. I KNOW, I KNOW; I’m playing right into the generic trendiness that I unconsciously fight so hard to … fight, and by saying “I think I have a crush on Taylor Lautner” does not automatically imply that I’m now Team Jacob (that’d just never happen, friends), but it does say that if I saw this dude walking his dog down the road while driving, I’d probably have to pull over to watch him go by.

From Seventeen and Celebrity-Gossip:

On how old he was when he had his first kiss:

“It was sometime in junior high. I don’t remember what year, but it was definitely in junior high. I think it was just with a random girl from school. I mean, it’s not like I walked up to her and was like ‘You’re just a random girl and I’m going to kiss you,’ but just a girl from school, and we had a little thing in junior high.”

On his TV guilty pleasure:

“One thing I watch off the hook because it’s on every single night up here [in Vancouver] and I usually can’t find it in the States that much is Dog: The Bounty Hunter.”

On his worst habit:

“I bounce my knees, but I do not have restless leg syndrome. I did an interview, I don’t even know who it was with, and they said I told them I have restless leg syndrome and it distracts me from my work. I do not have any syndrome. I actually have many friends [like me] who just bounce their knees.”

On whether or not it’s easy for him to talk to girls:

“[Laughs] Oh, I definitely wouldn’t say I overcame that. I guess it just depends on the girl. Sometimes I’ll feel free to completely open up, and I wish I could do that more often because that’s what I look for in a girl. Someone that can open up and be herself, but no, I definitely haven’t overcome it completely.”

On what’s a relationship deal breaker for him:

“If a girl doesn’t know how to smile or laugh or if they try to play cool all the time. Playing hard to get is not the way to win me over. I’m definitely more for the girl who can smile and laugh all the time and just have a good time!”

I never said that I’d really have a lingering interest in much of what he says.  Sometimes it’s the non-verbal communications that speak the loudest, don’t you know.

A photo of Madonna, blowing a kiss.

I absolutely loathe hydrangeas. He obviously doesn’t know that.

Madonna, in a clipped, cosmopolitan accent, referring to the fan who just handed her a big shrub of purple blossoms. We all can hear you, Madge. You’re sitting at a microphone, lady.

At first I thought this was “Ray of Light” -era Madonna, but I was tricked! Tricked! Instead, the video clip (below) is from day two of the Venice International Film Festival, where Madonna premiered her directorial effort, W.E.

And I can’t stop watching it! The clip is only seconds long, and it inspires an all-new fit of giggles every time.

A photo of Adele

I’m sorry, you guys, if you’re getting some sort of Adele overload these past few weeks. Admittedly, we have been talking about this amazing girl quite a bit, but really, if your brain can’t handle how awesomely magical Adele is, then that’s not our fault.

This morning we have a few more quotes from Adele’s interview with Vogue to get your day started right!

On bodily functions: “I puke quite a lot before going on stage, but never actually on stage. I shit myself before everything…The bigger the freak-out, the more I enjoy the show!”

On relationships: “I do get massively distracted when I’ve got someone in my life, which I can’t afford to do right now…besides, no one treats me as well as I do.”

On boys: “I’ve always got on better with boys. Most of my friends are boys. Like, if I have children, I want five boys. Boys love their mothers whereas girls can be so mean to each other.”

Keep it coming, Adele!  And by “it,” I mean all these beautiful words. And also a new album. Thanks!

A photo of Alyson Hannigan

Well, color me disappointed. After the whole internet and I speculated that Alyson Hannigan might have another adorable child on the way, Alyson herself took to Twitter to explain the situation:

Oh well, better luck next time, possible future fetus!

On the heels of celebrating David Bowie, it only feels right to take a moment to celebrate another magical musician on this, the anniversary of his birth, and that magical musician is the late, great Freddie Mercury. You know how a lot of times when people sing incredibly well, and after they die people talk about how at least now they’re singing with the angels? Or something like that? I don’t know, maybe it has something to do with me being a heathen, but the only person I’ve ever thought could actually be doing that is Freddie Mercury. He’s that powerful.

Let’s use the comments to praise this angel, ok?

If you couldn’t tell by the headline, illustrator Andrew Kolb has went and made all my dreams come true by creating a children’s book based on one of David Bowie‘s masterpieces, “Space Oddity.” It’s adorable and heartbreaking, all at the same time, much like Bowie himself. Check it out, and then feel free to flail over the perfection that is David Bowie!
