I want nothing but the best for Lily Allen, and you should too. This girl had such a horrible time this past year, she deserves some happiness. And boy, does she look happy. Look at her, how adorable is she in these pictures? Her little earmuff veil and her adorable smile? I can’t handle all this adorable.
In addition to her wedding, she might also have another reason to be smiling, and that reason is a baby! According to The Daily Mail, Lily’s brand new husband, Sam Cooper, announced today at the wedding that Lily is pregnant again. If that’s true, and judging by Lily’s choice in wedding dresses, it’s definitely a possibility, then this will be her third pregnancy – the first two ended in miscarriages. Let’s hope that if Lily is pregnant, everything goes well and everyone ends up happy and healthy and lovely, and if she’s not, then we can still hope the same.
Before I start, let me just say that I am not a huge fan of the Indiana Jones movies, not by a long shot. I never watched them as a kid, just like I never watched Star Wars. I watched them when I was a teenager because my best friend wants the best for me and, for what it’s worth (and also please don’t hate me for this), I liked Indiana Jones way more than Star Wars, although I never got to watch The Last Crusade. I did watch the Crystal Skull nonsense though. So just know that I am not taking this from a fanatical viewpoint, I am taking this from the viewpoint of someone who enjoys quality films.
Here’s the Shia LaBeouf quote that made me weep for the future of cinema:
“I talked to Harrison. He said he’s staying in the gym. He said he’s heard no word, but he does know that George [Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin (plot device),” said LaBeouf. “He said he’s staying in the gym, so it means, you know, it’s not so far off.”
So basically it sounds like Harrison Ford is just waiting around while George Lucas figures out how to best twist and mar the beautiful memories and dreams of children of the 80′s. Fantastic.
The way I see it, I’m either completely justified in my fears for all you hardcore Indy fans or I just need to calm my heart and stop feeling so strongly about things I’m not that invested in. What do you guys think?
When Sarah first brought you the news of Tracy Morgan‘s outrageously bigoted rant, she mentioned how weird it was that Tracy works so closely with Tina Fey on 30 Rock. If you didn’t know, Tina Fey is awesome in nearly every way, including not being a homophobic prick. If you were also curious about what Tina’s reaction would be to Tracy’s rants and rambles, here it is:
“The violent imagery of Tracy’s rant was disturbing to me at a time when homophobic hate crimes continue to be a life-threatening issue for the GLBT Community. It also doesn’t line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person. I hope for his sake that Tracy’s apology will be accepted as sincere by his gay and lesbian co-workers at ’30 Rock’, without whom Tracy would not have lines to say, clothes to wear, sets to stand on, scene partners to act with, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his pocket.”
As usual, I think Tina Fey handled this in a really classy way. She’s another one of those people who can’t do anything wrong. I’m not so sure about Tracy though. After his original words, his apology fell just a little short, right?
And I don’t mean something’s wrong with Selena Gomez like something is wrong with Nicole Kidman, I mean something is wrong with Selena Gomez as in she’s been in the hospital undergoing tests since last night. She was taken there right after her appearance on The Tonight Show. Selena was “complaining of nausea and a severe headache,” and she cancelled a concert in L.A. tonight.
I’m not a doctor or anything, but I’ve watched a lot of House, which means that I know that nausea and a headache can be symptoms for a number of things, serious and not. Nobody knows anything right now, but for the moment I (sincerely [sometimes you guys don't get when I'm not being sarcastic]) think we just need to hope that everything turns out ok for adorable Selena, that her loving boyfriend, Justin Bieber, is there to support her through this scary time, and that she gets to go home soon.
When I read the horrible, sickening, backwards ass comments that Tracy Morgan made, I was outraged. I don’t understand how people can feel so much hate for other human beings, and I never will. So I went about my business this morning and, into this afternoon, I was bothered by Tracy’s inexplicable rage. Not even Christina Hendricks’ magnificent beauty could completely turn my frown upside down. But you guys, everything is ok now. Everything is all better because Tracy apologized:
“I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville,” he said in a statement issued to The Advocate. “I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”
So sincerely remorseful for spewing hate, guys. So touching.
