The immensely talented Hugh Jackman is currently in talks to star as Jean Valjean, and if it’s made official, he’ll be the first actor to sign on to the project. Which means we can spend hours and hours talking about who Hugh’s perfect Javert would be. Or I can spend hours and hours talking to my guinea pig about who Hugh’s perfect Javert would be. Either way, it’s happening.
Let’s just let this sink in for a moment, musical theatre nerds. We could get to see Hugh Jackman, in all his glory, touch all our hearts with “Bring Him Home” and dramatically rip open his shirt to reveal the damning numbers of 24601. What are you most excited about, Les Mis lovers?
If this pans out, SO MUCH SEXUAL FRUSTRATION will be felt for Valjean (I mean, Colm Wilkinson was pretty sexy already, but he’s nowhere near Hugh Jackman’s level).
