Ashlee Simpson posted the above photo to Twitter yesterday with the caption, “Writing sesh on the balcony. My album doesn’t seem so far away…”
A few years ago, I would have maybe been secretly excited about this ’cause, I’ll admit it, I was totally taken with Ashlee when she first came out with her MTV reality show. Her first album had some summer jams, okay? And the second album was fun. That “L.O.V.E” song? Maybe I was just a drunk college student at the time or something… but now?
After seeing the way Ashlee treated her on-again husband Pete and reading other unsavory items about her, I kind of can’t imagine that she has anything to say that I’d like to hear.
Is there any way you’d get pumped over a new Ashlee Simpson album, or is this going to be Melrose Place part 2 for her?
I wouldn’t take a free CD of it if someone came to my house, knocked on my door and tried to hand it to me. I just don’t care anymore. I had her first album but gave it away some time ago. It was one of those things that were novel and seemed fun at first but got old fast.
Ugh, such a POSER. That shot was so set up. Like she can even read let alone write.
Honestly, I have all of her records and each one got better and I am 30;-) I imagine she’ll go a bit edgier and less Pop on this one
Just because she doesn’t live a wild and crazy life doesn’t mean she has nothing interesting to say! I am looking forward to hearing her new stuff
Since I’m sure they’ll auto-tune her vocals, we still won’t know after all these years if she can actually sing or not. As for her “writing” her songs – please.

I can’t wait to hear Ashlee’s 4th. album!
I just wanted to say that the latest news that I can only find about Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is that she and Pete Wentz are getting a divorce and that she will be recording her new upcoming album that will have a “Folk feel” with a mature upbeat sound to it. I don’t care if Ashlee got caught lip-synching on Saturday Night Live back in 2004 because it wasn’t her fault that she had acid reflux and that she had to use a backing track to save her singing voice. I’m not going to hold the lip-synching incident against her and neither should anybody else out there because that happened 16 years ago, also because we should all get over it like the way Ashlee did. I will always guard and protect her heart and music from all of those haters out there because I truly believe that it is my destiny to do so. I also don’t care if her latest album, “Bittersweet World” (that was released on April 22, 2008 in the United States of America) had only sold 150,000 copies over here in the United States of America and 220,000 copies worldwide, I love her music with all my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life listening to it because her music has been the best thing that has ever happened to me ever since she came into the music industry back in 2004. I would be lost forever if she ever decides to stop making music because making music is what she lives for. Ashlee is one of my most favorite female Pop music artists and songwriters in the music industry, and I’m also one of her most biggest fans who was born and raised over here in the United States of America. I have all 3 of her previous albums and I can’t wait until she releases her new upcoming album later on this year because I really want to buy it. I’m pretty sure that the album will sell over 1 million copies over here in the United States of America and worldwide because she has a lot of fans all over the world who really enjoys listening to her music as much as I do. I think that she looks a lot more prettier than her sister, Jessica and my wife, Ashley even if she did have plastic surgery on her nose. End of story.
