Former America’s Sweetheart and current Frankenface Meg Ryan was photographed leaving her beau John Cougar Mellencamp’s recent show in Toronto with a thick gold band on a certain special finger. The actress and the musician have been quietly dating for a couple of months now.
What do I think of these two together? I think they’re perfect for each other. Neither one of them is the huge star that they used to be, but they were both at one time considered to be one of the best in their respective fields. It seems like they’re in really similar places in their lives and like they’d get along just great.
But just one thing: Doesn’t that ring on Meg’s finger look a lot more like a wedding band then an engagement ring? Is it remotely possible that these two are already hitched? Both of their reps are refusing to comment on this story and maybe that’s because they have something way bigger to hide than a measly engagement.
I feel like this is the third time or so that I’ve woken up on a Friday morning to discover that Justin Bieber did something different with his hair. Slowly but surely, I’m being conditioned to sleep fitfully through the night on Thursday, and then wake up with the chills and the body aches and the desperation that I know down to my core can only be caused by one thing: the dreaded Bieber Fever.
But enough about my health problems, because much more important things are happening in the world – Justin Bieber shaved his head! Or to be more accurate, Jimmy Kimmel shaved Justin’s head on his show last night*. And dear Justin Drew really seemed to like it, so I think this look might be staying for a while. Among other reasons, Justin enjoyed the lack of hair because “I look like Michael Jordan, I think maybe it’s going to help me be more aerodynamic on the basketball court” and because people will “just focus on my beautiful, silky smooth vocals.” And really, can you fault him for wanting those things?
*You guys, of course I know they used a bald cap. Of course I do. But do you think the majority of Beliebers out there understand footnotes? Just let me have fun with this.
I posted a comment on my Facebook earlier about this being the beginning of the end of days, and cheekily asked whether or not I was the only one on earth who didn’t give a shit about the always-obnoxious Lady Gaga and her crap club music.
Apparently there’s a lot of Lady Gaga fans, ’cause I got a lot of shit for that.
So naturally, if it stinks, I bring it here – do you guys give a crap about Lady Gaga and her head-scratching interpretations of music?
Moreover, can you even tolerate listening to this song for more than thirty-five seconds?
The nominations are in, and it speaks volumes for what the kids of today’s generation are into. I remember Nickelodeon, way back before they jumped on the awards show bandwagon, and shows like Salute Your Shorts, You Can’t Do That on Television, Double Dare, Are You Afraid of the Dark? were, you know, the height of child entertainment. Today, unfortunately, we have shows like Big Time Rush, which makes me want to slit my own wrists, and the Sprouse twins, which are … never mind. They’re still kids. I won’t say it.
