Quotables: Lady Gaga is a Crappy Version of Madonna

“What I don’t like is when somebody copies somebody and just adopts it like their own idea. You want me, I go a little further. I can tell you, to me, Lady Gaga is Madonna with diarrhea!”

Charo tells Sirius XM’s OutQ exactly what she thinks about the whole “Lady Gaga blatantly copying Madonna” thing.

I said it the other day: “Born this Way” is really starting to grow on me, so I don’t really care if Lady Gaga bit Madonna’s style or not, but Charo? Y’all. We are NOT paying enough attention to Charo. Here or anywhere. I hold myself partially responsible for that, and I wanted to apologize to you guys. I know you look to me to inform you re: mad important stuff, and I’ve been dropping the Charo ball, so to speak. I’m sorry. I hope we’re cool.

  • she did not copy Madonna, period. I have heard both songs. Maybe slight similarity, but not the same! Like I said before, it would be like saying many techno and house music artists copied each other because a lot of time, that stuff sounds REALLY similar! Especially trance music.

  • Even though I’m a really big LadyGaga fan i would say that many thing of her son BorThisWay are alot similar to Madonna’s ExpressYourself the tone of the voice, the music and the rythem. But I like Gaga’s better. It doens’t matter what anyone says because haters will always talk shit. At the end of the day that Charo whatever her name is all she wants to say is that she wants to have and be like LadyGaga.

  • If anyone remembers back in the 80’s when Madonna first became big, she was all about the “Shock Factor” (umm does anyone remember black Jesus?) The people who say that GaGa is not copying Madonna obviously don’t know their music history. It may not be intentional, but Madonna was here first and GaGa needs to understand that she is not the first artist to “shock rock”.

  • Shar: sorry but i would rather say that whomever says lady caca isn’t copying Madonna, is not part of the millenial generation. Anyone born in the 70’s and early 80’s knows who Madonna is and we tend to dislike this improvised copy cat monstrosity very much.
