Justin Bieber Discusses Politics, Sex, and Abortion

A photo of Justin Bieber on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine

Justin Bieber isn’t just a pretty boy.  He’s a boy who has deep thoughts, deep thoughts that extend far beyond things like his attractiveness and his hair.  He’s a boy who thinks a lot of thoughts about the world around him, and it’s that kind of thinking that puts him a step above the rest.

From Rolling Stone:

On sex: “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them,” Bieber says. When asked if he believes in abstinence until marriage, Bieber – who is reportedly dating fellow teen star Selena Gomez – seems wary: “I think you should just wait for the person you’re…in love with.”

By the way, did you guys hear about how Justin spent part of his Valentine’s Day shopping at Victoria’s Secret with his dad? I think we can all just draw our own conclusions with that one.

America vs. Canada: The Canadian-born Bieber never plans on becoming an American citizen. “You guys are evil,” he says with a laugh. “Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.”

On politics: He isn’t sure what political party he’d support if he was old enough to vote. “I’m not sure about the parties,” Bieber says. “But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.”

On abortion: “I really don’t believe in abortion,” Bieber says. “It’s like killing a baby?” How about in cases of rape? “Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.”

So there you go, naysayers.  Justin’s intelligent enough to know that whatever they have in Korea is bad and that he hasn’t been in the position of an impregnated rape victim so he can’t pass judgement and really, what more do you want from him?

  • He’s 16! Of course he’d dumb! Haven’t we all been at that age?
Some of what he said had a clear sense to it, just not the abortion part…

  • Enough with the he/she’s only ____.
16 is a perfectly capable age to be to be pondering these issues. No one’s saying that you should be solving them at that age(or any age), but I remembering being in high school ( 2 years ago) and middle school and debating these sorts of topics in class. Don’t underestimate adolescents.

    • PALEEEASE….These are stupid questions to ask a protected teen – who really cares what he thinks at this age. Give him a few years before asking these types of in depth questions. They should be asking things like – have your balls dropped yet?

  • Agree with abortion. But healthcare is free? Really? Where does that money come from? I am so tired of hearing about Canada’s “free” healthcare!

    • It’s not “free”. Everyone pays a certain amount per month based on income – the highest amount is $54 per month, while others with lower income pay less or nothing at all (that’s when it’s actually free).
It’s just easier to pay $54 or $21 (or nothing) per month then spend thousands of dollars at once for medical procedures.

Yes, we do pay higher taxes but, again, it’s easier to fork out an extra dollar here and there than spend giant lump sums for any hospital stays.

    • i agree with the abortion comment too. but he is dumb. “rape is sad but everything happens for a reason”…. yeah because some jerk can’t control himself. that is not a cool statement. rape sucks.

  • I live in Minnesota. I went across the border to Winnipeg once. While we have about a 7.5% sales tax rate on everything except for produce, clothing, and (maybe housing) they have a 13% sales tax on EVERYTHING that isn’t being sold by a charitable association(I.E. Goodwill)

That’s where the money comes from. Suck it bieber, while i pay 320$ for a PS3, you are paying 330$

    • What are you – an idiot? You are comparing buying a PS3 for vicarious entertainment with money you probably got from your Mommy and we’re talking about life, health, and medical care for people who may be suffering from life threatening illnesses. If you insist on embarrassing yourself with stupid statements fine, but maybe you better wait till you grow up.

  • Okay, Justin, we’re evil here in the U.S. If all your U.S. fans stop supporting you where do you think you’ll be. Remember, you don’t have any real talent. You’re just very attractive and young. And innocent, to put it kindly.

    • obviously the kid has talent. someone from small-town canada does not make it in the entertainment industry unless they are talented. if music execs were simply looking for a “very attractive and young” person to turn into a pop star, they would have picked any one of the thousands of child models in NYC or LA, not a kid from stratford, ontario.

  • no he is not talented. he is just young and energetic. his music stinks and he dances like he has itching feet he is trying to scratch on the floor.

he is not talented. he just wouldnt quit.

  • This just proves to show that this fag really doesn’t live beyond his bubble. Leaving aside the fact that more and more Canadians are seeking healthcare in the United States because of their crappy system. Leave out the fact that Canadians come to the U.S. for kidney transplants because your Government has deemed that an “elective surgery”. Or simple operations could be scheduled months down the road when it’s too late while the American healthcare system schedules surgeries days or even hours out from arrival. I really hope our friends to the north teach him a thing or two about politics and economy. SOMEONE IS PAYING FOR IT YOU DOUCHEBAG!! Us Americans would rather pay for our healthcare ourselves and receive top-notch health care rather than letting a Government bureaucrat decide what’s right for us. Let’s all take a minute and thank God that he doesn’t ever plan on becoming a citizen. We will never have to worry about his vote.

I really could care less about what this kid has to say. But what I do care about is that he is capable of persuading millions of kids to believe in things that he believes in. The road to Socialism is now being paved… He needs to keep his mouth shut unless he truly knows what the hell he is talking about.

    • you make really good points and i think the biebs is pointless, but “fag”? really…..no need for that word, lesbian would be much better.

      • Guys come on! I don’t care what he has to say either, but he never did anything to deserve these names being thrown at him!

  • No one is “underestimating adolescents.” but for heaven’s sake!! This BOY (because he is legally and physically) doesn’t know what he’s talking about – he’s obviously just blagging it! Don’t know what’s worse – him trying to sound like he knows what he’s talking about – or the dope asking him these sorts of questions.

  • First off, let’s just say that I love Justin. He’s a sweet 16 year old boy who is extremely talented. Yeah, some aren’t going to like his music, but it’s hard to deny that he’s definitely got some potential.

However, I think it’s ridiculous that Rolling Stone is having this interview with him. He’s 16 years old. His fans start as early as Kindergarteners. Do you honestly think that 5-13 year old care about his takes on abortion, pre-marital sex, politics? He’s 16 years old… he doesn’t even care about that right now! He’s having the time of his life right now being one of the biggest pop-stars today. He doesn’t need to be condoning silly little sex & politics interview. NO ONE CARES ABOUT THAT!

All we want is to hear his music. :)

  • Idiots, ofcoarse he’s thinking bout that stuff. especially sex! lol
Wowyall are innocent to think that a 16 year old boy dont think about sex ahaha

  • He is smart enough to dodge the question on pre-marital sex. He thinks it should be for the person you fall in love with. Thats a smart answer. When i was 16, i was in love with every girl who said yes.

  • whats up justin its john myers i like to shit on your face plz crap on my face and justin bieber i whant to fuck you

  • This is a joke people are making way to big of a deal on this he is a good talented kid and it isnt even debatable that canada is better than us in everyway especially the intellect of its citizens

  • Everyone has opinions + is able 2 say them so plz stop yelling at eachother cuz we all think what we want + it’s ok 2 think different. We might have reasons + might not,but we might name them.

  • Ok so I used to be totally neutral with the whole Justin Bieber thing. Then I heard his music and watched interviews and realized that he is the sweetest, most down to earth, gorgeous, and talented 16 year old boy ever created. And I personally don’t give a crap what any of who haters think because people who love Justin bieber and his music will always out weigh all of you dumb haters.HONESTLY JUST LET HIM LIVE HIS DREAM BECAUSE YOU GUYS HAVE NO RIGHT TO HATE HIM. AND GIVE IT A BREAK BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH BY POSTING ALL OF THESE MEAN COMMENTS.
