Gwyneth Paltrow Has a Gold Record, What Do You Have?

The practically perfect Gwyneth Paltrow has done yet another completely amazing thing– earned her first gold record. The news broke last night that the actress’ cover of Cee-Lo’s “Forget You” from her guest-appearance on Glee has sold over 535,000 copies. Must have been her surprise performance at Sunday’s Grammy’s with Cee-Lo that really pushed it over the top.

Gwyneth’s last movie, Country Strong, only reached the number six spot on the box office charts the weekend of it’s wide release, but featured Gwyneth singing throughout the whole thing. And it had Tim McGraw in it.

What am I getting at? Gwyneth is an okay singer, but she didn’t produce a real gold record. She covered one of the most popular songs of the summer on one of the most popular shows on television. Pardon my language, but no fucking shit she has a gold record.

  • Well…what I don’t have is a giant stick up my ass, that more than makes up for not having a gold record that I DON’T DESERVE. That bitch’s mouth is getting too big for her muzzle.

  • Who, exactly said Gwyneth Paltrow could sing? What gives her the right to perform at the Grammy’s? I’m so sick of seeing actors take the stage and pretend to be singers! It’s not fair to all the struggling musicians out there who have nothing but their talent to get them on stage. These famous actors like Paltrow, Jaden Smith and Kevin Costner are just handed a spot on stage, only because of who they are and who they are connected with. It’s just not right! I want to see real talent on stage.. not actors, trying desperately to act like singers!!!

  • Ugh. It was cute on glee…when she was a substitute teacher that could belt out a song in music…but really? Putting her on the grammy’s? Jeez. I agree with all the above comments. She’s pretentious, obnoxious, and an average singer, and a below average actress. My thought is, that Cee Lo lost the grammy, because of karma…sell your soul to the Paltrow, and you lose.
