I just saw the Kardashian/Jenner Chirstmas card on my Tumblr dashboard and I had to share it with you. It’s a gorgeous photo in many ways (I don’t think I’ve ever seen folks drag out that sort of wardrobe for a holiday snapshot) but it’s also BEYOND AWKWARD. Let’s make a list of all the ways this skeeves us, shall we?
1)Why is Kylie Jenner allowed to wear that dress? That’s the very first thing that pops out at me. She’s a young teen girl, and while embracing your curves in a dress like that is totally appropriate for someone just a handful of years older than her, it’s absolutely crazy that she’s allowed to wear that now. Insane. Just looking at that thing is making me have visions of my mother chasing me up the stairs, telling me that there was no way I was going to leave the house at fifteen in a leopard tube dress.
2) Oh, who’s that on the side there? Some neighbors who decided to pop by? Oh, wait– That’s the oldest Kardashian daughter, her son and his father? Oh. Because by the way that they’re practically standing in the backyard compared to the rest of the family, I would have never guessed that they’re wanted there.
3) Mean faces, huh? Really? Is angry stone-face the new smile?

Yeah super awkward. Super. And the fact that they have Rob sitting, even though he looks good, is like oh you’re not quite as famous or good enough to stand tall like the rest of us. And wasn’t Kendall jealous of Kylie’s modeling and getting attention? Or was it the other way around? Because she is sitting too. But really the main thing is the “neighbors” at the side.
Kind of reminds me of the Adams Family. =/ Not a fan, although Rob looks like the most “normal” one. Bizarre.

Holy mother of God – plastic fantastic. Are there any real people in that photograph? they single-handedly keep teams of stylists and make-up mfgrs in business. Ugh.

Colin Cowherd from ESPN said that blog comments are just gripe sessions so less successful people can bitch about more successful people. I think he may have a point. You do not have to like the Kardashians. You can ignore them if you wish. But logging on to a web site to bash them smacks of jealousy rather than true criticism. Just my opinion. I am also appalled at how they handle their lives, but I would love to make 6 million a year to film my life. :)
I <3 the "matchy, match"-ness of Khloe's dress to Lamar's tie and Chris's dress to Bruce's tie. It's prom-tastic! Also, why does the oldest sister not rate a dress? Kinda' bizarre she is the only female in a menswear suit. LOVE how her son has his back to all of them, though!
Ummm…how about the fact that Bruce has like, 2 or 3 other kids???? Where are they????

that little bebe is so cute. this family does not seem real to me anymore. who has their makeup airbrushed on every morning, and who leaves the house in six inch heels? i guess the people that get paid. to. do. it. this is their job, kind of. to become larger-than-life weird and plastic-ey looking versions of themselves. i suppose. merry khristmas

Yes, they’re PS’d to high heaven (I mean, c’mon! They’re all—except for Khloe and Odom–like, 5 feet tall Oompa-loompas), but Khloe’s hair, makeup, and gown look stunning. Odom’s a little too matchy-matchy with the tie (they couldn’t have gone with a nice wine color at least?), but he looks very nice.
The rest of them look like something out of an Anne Rice novel (back when vampires were awesome). Or, as Kristen said, VC Andrews. :o)
