It seems like just yesterday that Katy Perry was impressing us all by shooting whipped cream out of her bosom and she’s already topped herself.
The video for “Fireworks” came out today and while most of it is kind of “sad feelings-y”, there’s definitely a moment where Katy leans over a balcony and unleashes a chest full of roman candles and sparklers on to the city beneath her. Is this her thing now? It can’t be a coincidence that she’s had strange things bursting out of her boobies in two videos recently. I’m thinking she’s going to do one more (rule of threes) and then (God help us) she’ll find some other part of her body to repeatedly exploit for our viewing pleasure.
i want to see her actually sing this live and pull it off while bursting fireworks out of her TaTas.

The California Girls song was silly and thus had a silly video, but this seems like a more serious song so it’s kind of strange that she’s shooting things out of her boobs in this video too. I think Katy Perry is smart though and realizes that she has nice boobs so why not use them for attention and fun (these 2 videos, the recent SNL skit, ect). I think it shows she doesn’t take herself too seriously, and that makes me more of a fan of hers.
Compare that to Jennifer Lopez, a somewhat okay singer and somewhat okay actress who was honestly famous for having a big ass. I don’t think she would have the sense of humor to poke fun at herself like Katy Perry does.
The lyrics aren’t exactly the greatest ever (I’d rather be brighter than the sun than the moon seeing that it is dark when the moon is out.) But I actually like the song. The cheesy fireworks exploding out of everyone do bring the whole thing down a bit.
Good song, good video. Better than her other videos.
