Today's Evil Beet Gossip

If I Were Amy Winehouse, I Would Just Not Attend the Premiere of Any Movie Called “Psychosis”

But, alas, she did, with new beau Reg Traviss in tow. Actually, Traviss directed the film, which is, I suppose, why she was there. He’s supposedly this clean-cut, really great guy, but he’s dating a chick who still has her ex’s name tattooed across her breast, and that would kind of be where I’d draw the line.

Years ago, I was dating this guy who was super hot and super sweet and, like, six-foot-seven, which — I’m sorry to all you short guys out there — is awesome, and we went out a few times and I was totally into him, and then when it got to the taking-off-your-clothes stage, he had a giant tattoo that said “WHITE PRIDE” on his upper arm. I was like, “Uhhhh, what’s the deal with that?” and he was like “Oh, I used to be kind of into white supremacy, but I’m not anymore. Now it’s just, like, I’m proud to be white. It’s not that I hate other races, I’m just proud to be white,” and I was like, “Um, you need to leave my apartment right now,” and he was like, “Look, it’s in my past,” and I was like “Did I mention the part about how you need to leave my apartment right now?”

Which is, I guess, like, a little different than having your ex’s name tattooed on your breast, but still. Be careful what you get permanently emblazoned on your body, kids. It’s there forever.

  • i thought amy wiehouse looked quite pretty actually..defo healthier than what she used to look like.

  • Does she paint freckles over the bridge of her nose? If so, that’s more eccentric than bad tattoos, bad hair, bad breast implants and bad choice of men.

I wish we could wipe her skin off, take the stupid rat’s-nest hairpiece off and add about ten pounds to her body. Oh, and get her to stop being an addict.

She had talent once. Who knows what she’s got going on now, but at least she’s not running around the streets yelling, “Blaaake” with blood between her toes leaking through dirty ballet slippers.

    • I think if she didn’t draw them on, they were tattooed on. I noticed them too, but have never heard/seen it mentioned in the press. I’m really curious about that. Most people with freckles don’t love them. I guess we all want what we don’t have.

  • I am a native American. I don’t think I need to say that my father’s people were here long before it was America, but, for the sake of those who didn’t know I did. I am proud to be native, but I’m finding that it’s ok to be proud to be anything but white these days. If I see a tatto that says “black is beautiful” , or tan is grand”, I don’t automatically think they’re a racist. Why can everyone be proud of their heritage but white skinned people? Native Americans are the only race left today that are still being opressed in this country, but that doesn’t mean that all white people are the boogey man, and that they should be ashamed that they were born white. That’s just childish. By the way, MY boyfriend of 5 years has “WHITE PRIDE” tattooed on his triceps, but he loves me because he’s NOT A RACIST. If I were to get a tattoo that said “Native American pride” on me, would that mean I HATE all others? Can we all just grow up a little America? Sincerely Stone Wolf.

    • I was going to ask the girl if she was racist against whites? If it had been a black power tat or any other slogan would she have reacted the same way? Sounds like a severe racist issue!

  • Oh beet, you reminded me why I love your writing. Your personality shines through. And that story was hilarious.
