If you had to guess which Facebook fan page (those groups you join to show support for your favorite TV show or actress or snack food) had the most members, what would you say? My guess would be something popular amongst high school and college kids (who I would assume are the most active group of users), more or less gender neutral, and something that Christians and hethens alike can get down with. Like that show Lost or maybe that band Nickelback that everyone seems to love so much.
The people over at PopCrunch have been monitoring the most popular fan pages, and the list after the jump might surprise you.
Lady Gaga became the first living person in Facebook fan page history (LOL) to pass the 10 million fan mark, just beating out our president, Barry O.
Barak Obama and Lady Gaga and the two people that the most Facebook users agree are fan worthy! I’m not offended by that! I honestly thought it was going to be some total bullshit that depressed the hell out of me re: the state of our world’s youth, but I can deal with people liking those things!
The most popular fan page on all of Facebook is for the card game Texas Hold ‘em, if you can believe it. Other fan pages that have passed the 10 million fan mark include Michael Jackson, Family Guy and Facebook itself.
