Gary Coleman’s parents, Willie and Sue, have withdrawn their bid to take charge of their son’s body. The couple’s lawyer made a statement on their behalf regarding the issue:

“From the start, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman’s intention has been to see that Gary’s wishes be honored and that his affairs be taken care of properly. They wanted to do things the right way, and they urge those still involved to do the same. The Colemans ask that everyone please treat Gary with respect and kindness. They feel it is time for him to find peace and let his spirit go.”

My guess is that Gary’s body will go to his wife, which makes sense considering Gary and his parents weren’t on speaking terms for the better part of his life. With all the deaths that are turned into media circuses, I’m so glad that his family is not prolonging this by creating a battle.

Fergie Has a Unibrow

Fergie Ferg was seen walking around Paris yesterday with an unusual pair of sunglasses. Apparently Stacy’s signature meth brows are worth highlighting in her opinion, because the bar across the top of her shades that creates that lovely unibrow effect does just that. I had to stare at these pictures for several seconds before I realized that a unibrow may not have been her desired effect.

Kathy Griffin has gone from being considered one of the most annoying, unsuccessful people in Hollywood to one of the most mildly-annoying but wildly successful people in Hollywood. I have to admit, even in the moments where I can’t stand her, I am always tuning into her show My Life on The D-List. There’s something about that lady! She sticks to her bit and she makes it work for her. Even if you don’t think she’s funny, you have to respect her business model, you know?

Her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live was as funny as ever last night. You can watch all three clips here, but in the clip above, listen to Kathy’s theory on how to win any Twitter war in an instant using that “fierce bitch” Justin Bieber’s loyal fans.

Twilight feels completely pointless to me, but both the original movie and New Moon had pretty good soundtracks. It looks like it will be the same story for Eclipse, too.

Florence and the Machine, an awesome band that doesn’t get enough attention, have just released this song that they recorded for the film, “Heavy in Your Arms”. Per usual, the song is amazing and I can completely see how it would compliment the mood of the flick.

If you like this song, you might also want to check out this track, which is my favorite of theirs.

Ceasar and Wife Split

Sad news for fans of love: The Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan and his wife Ilusion have decided to call it quits. Ceser let his rabid following of weirdos, housewives and Kathy Griffin in on the unfortunate news via his website:

We are sad to announce that after 16 years of marriage we have decided to file for divorce. The decision was made after much consideration and time. We remain caring friends, and are fully committed to the co-parenting of our two boys.

Well, this is like Al and Tipper all over again! But hey, if they’re not happy, then it’s the best thing to do. But I do have one little gripe here: Why do people always use “we are sad to announce…” as the intro to their divorce announcement? It’s like… No you’re not sad. At least you shouldn’t be. You’re officially ending a failed marriage. I’m sure that that had to suck, but shouldn’t you be psyched you’re getting a divorce? Who cares! Don’t be sad! You’ll move on, the public will move on, this is a great thing. I mean, it’s not like you’re Lamar and Khloe. If those two split up, that would be devastating.

Alexa Ray Joel and Christie Brinkley

Earlier this year, Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley’s daughter Alexa Ray Joel was rushed to the hospital after a break-up caused her to take a fist full of pills. Alexa survived the OD and I immediately found myself turned off by the incident. Here is a girl with the world at her fingertips (and she didn’t even have to work for it), and she’s allowing some douchebag boyfriend drive her over the edge? What a fucking waste.

At the time I caught some flack for being insensitive, but the pain of heartbreak is no reason to be so effing dramatic. Playing with your life because someone played with your heart? Are we 12?

Well, it turns out Christie Brinkley is on my side. In a recent interview, Christie had the following to say about her daughter’s mental health:

“Your job as a parent is to listen. And to dole out as much love as you can. That includes tough love. I told Alexa, ‘You got yourself worked into such a tizzy. You need to examine that, you need to seek professional advice.’ She tried to do something dramatic to prove to her boyfriend how much he hurt her. I think many people can relate to that excruciating pain of love gone wrong. I’d rather have a broken arm than a broken heart.”

It seems that Alexa took her mom’s advice to heart and she’s even begun studying heartbreak as a medical condition (LOL– you should see what I have to say about that.) I’m glad that she had someone in her life to be honest with her. Too often celebrity children are coddled and allowed to believe that their dramatic behavior is justifiable as a result of their parents’ lifestyle. While the same can’t be said for someone like Cameron Douglas, it looks like Alexa is going to be fine.
