Kate “Maneater” Hudson Tried for Radiohead’s Thom Yorke Before Settling For Matthew Bellamy

I’m sure that’s just done wonders for Matt’s ego. You know, not only being runner-up to the epic Thom Yorke (and really, who isn’t?), but being second in line to, uh, “woo” Kate Hudson.

According to Us Weekly, Hudson tried to cozy up to the amazingly talented (and yes I’m going to shamelessly gush about him — saw Radiohead in Boston a few years ago, and from what I can remember, they were fucking amazing) Yorke, but received nothing but indifferent snubs from the talented (and clearly smart) Radiohead frontman:

… A source says when the pair [Bellamy and Hudson] met at Coachella in April, the serial dater was more interested in Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, 41, (who has a longtime girlfriend): “She was chatting him up. He just shrugged and was unresponsive.” Another insider adds, “After she was rejected, she said, ‘What other up-and-coming bands can I go hit on?” Enter Bellamy. Says the source: “She just pounced!”

What “other up-and-coming bands” are available? Is Kate, you know, not only unaware that Radiohead is totally one of the world’s greatest bands of all time, but that they’ve been around for more than two decades??

Get in the know, girl.  Jeez.

    heh, poser

  • “Poser” because I got amazingly wasted at a favorite band's concert? I don't know what “poser” means in your little circle of existence, but in mine — you misused the term hardcore.

  • lol, my little circle of existence? oook..
i used the term “poser” because you say you love him soo much because you saw radiohead in boston…a few years ago, which implies you know the band only from seeing them that one time, a while ago. then you go on to say “from what you can remember, they were amazing”, which implies you don't even remember the concert, but can only assume it was amaaaaazing. haha! if that's NOT what you meant, maybe you'd benefit from choosing your words more carefully and expressing yourself better. but from here, looks like your reason for gushing so much about thom yorke was pretty shallow and unfounded. i appreciate your defense in adding that this is “a favorite band” of yours and that you were “wasted.” should have mentioned it in your initial post to make yourself seem more genuine. however, the damage is already done and i'm sticking with my initial assessment ;)

  • If its yor favorite band… shouldn’t you like… not be amazingly wasted… to actually see and remember their performance?? Isn’t that the point of going? lol
