Bethenny Frankel is just learning that she’s pregnant on Real Housewife of New York City, but in real life, Bethenny’s been about to pop for a minute. Yesterday B and her husband Jason Hoppy welcomed their “4 lb. 12 oz., healthy baby” girl, Bryn Hoppy into the world. Four pounds!?!? Someone’s already a Skinny Girl!
The road to motherhood has been long and bumpy for Bethenny, who talked about her desire to get hitched and start a family frequently on the show. Bryn’s arrival may also allow another chance for Bethenny to mend her relationships with her castmates, particularly her former-BFF Jill Zarin.

That baby is under weight. Maybe because her mother didn’t want to get too fat, such a shame.
Being underweight comes with prematurity – her mother did gain weight, you could see it. I’m sure that, being a health and nutrition writer, she knew what she had to do to give the pregnancy a good chance.
Sometimes babies just come early – with luck, the child is healthy and will go home soon if she’s in the hospital.
If the kid had weighed four pounds and was full-term, then a low birth weight might have been the result of the mother’s lack of proper eating – or not.
The baby was born almost a month early.. That weight is right on target for babies gestational age.. Fact check before you make jokes, k?
My daughter was born 2 1/2 weeks early (hardly considered premature) and she was only 4 pounds 10 ounces. I was 5′ 1″ and weighed 165 when I got pregnant and was up to around 180 at her birth. My doctor kept telling me I was going to have an 8 pounder and I kept telling her that no one in my family had big babies. After the birth the doc came up to me and said ‘guess I was a little off on the weight’. My daughter was healthy as could be and still is. She turns 5 next month and just passed the 30 pounds mark. She is on her own growth chart according to her doc. So, yes, it is possible to have ‘healthy’ little babies.
