Carrie Underwood Doesn’t Eat Out

Well, maybe once in awhile she’ll cop to it, but on the regular, she kind of has a rule against it. She claims that there’s always so much to choose from after her shows and people are generally ravenous for whatever they can get their hands on, but not Carrie, no way. She’s more selective than that, which makes her one of the classiest ladies in Hollywood to date.

Yeah, all that and healthy, too.

Underwood claims that she maintains her figure by avoiding the post-show pig outs on pizza, fast food and other high-fat, high-carb meals that most of her staff and friends choose to gorge themselves with. Carrie states that she keeps a separate refrigerator stocked with “smart choices” and this, in itself, helps her maintain her fabulous figure.

Carrie states that she hardly ever dines out at cheap fast-food restaurants, but does admit to going to a restaurant on occasion:

“Every once in a while I have a day off and I might go to a restaurant — but no aftershow food and I keep my fridge stocked.”

Good for you, Carrie. You look great and it’s because you’re eating healthy and exercising. You’re not locked in your trailer’s tiny, dimly-lit bathroom with half your hand down your throat and you know what? I think that’s pretty damned likable.

  • Why is not eating out classy?
If you want to eat and watch your portions and ingredients you can go to a nice french restaurant, you don’t have to gorge at Chucky Cheese (or whatever it called).
All this obsessive calorie counting is sad, a person should eat good quality food not to be hungry but not nitpicking every bite.
Gee! western society body image is so crooked to the point that great-figure=full-lime-job-fasting-and-exercising.

    p.s.
Her hair is horrible, it can’t handle the harsh bleaching so it looks like a dull mannequin wig.

  • I’m all about eating healthy, but she’d look better with just a tad bit more padding. Just my opinion…

  • Umm no. I read an interview with her in a magazine a couple of years ago, and it opened with something along the lines of: “It’s 5pm and Carrie Underwood still hasn’t eaten today. She unwraps a protein bar and takes a small bite.” Bottom line: she starves herself.

  • Whatevs, haters. Maybe she has a tendency to overeat when she goes out? She used to be kinda chubs – remember? Maybe she doesn’t want to go back to that and be photographed and called fat and picked on.
Not eating out much is just her way of staying in control. The vast majority of fit people have a way they keep the balance – this is hers. And maybe it will prevent some fatties from going to Olive Garden tonight.

  • And you know that she’s healthy how? I think Carrie has a great body but based on the stuff she says in interviews it sounds like someone has a classic eating disorder. Its great to be skinny and healthy, but not if you’re starving yourself!

  • @Elizabeth Apparently Carrie was horrified by the implication of that part of the interview. She commented in a later interview that the reality was that she had a bad case of the stomach flu when she gave that interview and whatever simple food she was having was the only thing she could keep down without throwing up. She couldn’t believe that was slant the interviewer took in reporting about it.

I’ve always thought this is a girl who’s got heightened awareness of what she eats on a regular basis and is very disciplined but indulges herself every once in a while. She’s got an intense tour schedule and has to stay in shape to sing like she does for 2 hours a night.

  • “fabulous figure” equals the bony back look. Ewww….no. She’s too thin and she was never pudgy. My God, how crazy some people are about weight. Relax and have a Snickers.
