We’re on to Phase 3 of the now-standard Hollywood sex scandal: Rehab! Jesse James’ rep spoke exclusively to People Magazine and said, “Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues. He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage.” The rep also stated that attending rehab was Jesse’s own idea. I would imagine that that’s probably because his wife’s not even talking to him.
We’ve seen David Duchovny, Tiger Woods and Russell Brand head to treatment just for their compulsion to bone everything in sight, but I’m not sure that this is actual treatment as much as it’s a good way to save face in public. Sandra’s moved out, he’s had alleged affairs with four women, and he’s been tied to white supremacy. It’s obvious that this guy has to do something to clean up his life, so let’s hope that this “treatment facility” gets the job done.
Now that its trendy in Hollywood, I wonder how long before sex rehab becomes an excuse for infidelity with the general public?

You somehow missed the point. Cheating isn’t just feeling like banging someone else that day for the sake of variety. It’s thinking that the person you’re with isn’t valuable enough for you to be a good partner to them and be loyal to them.
My comment in more detail is this: after cheating repeatedly on her and showing Sandra he didn’t value her enough to be loyal to her and the relationship, Jesse also(!!) lied directly to her face; pretended to be someone she could trust; hugged, kissed and bonded with her when he knew if she found out she would be devastated; deceived her; went behind her back; and played her for a fool because he thought he could get away with it because she’s too dumb to find out.
Sandra is valuable enough to have left him after he cheated on her once and immediately confessed, without any additional lies or manipulation (if he would have done that). Every woman (and man), regardless of who she is, deserves to be treated with respect and have a partner who’s loyal to her. But his opinion of her was SO low that he though she deserved to be cheated on AND lied to/played for a fool!!! He pulled a DOUBLE whammy!!

I have no doubt that sexual compulsion exists. However, it’s self-inflicted and the person who has let it ruin his/her life (as well very often times ruining the lives of those around them) has to hold themselves accountable and accept the consequences. The actions of these people are no different than that of compulsive alcoholics, drug users, and pedophiles who continue to fall back into the hole. If Bullock is smart she’ll run for the hills as far, far away from this tool bag as she can get.
