The other night at the NY Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls game, Knicks superfan Jay-Z was treated to a special performance by the other team’s mascot. During a break in the game, Bulls mascot Benny boldly walked over to Jay-Z while his wife’s hit “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” was playing and proceeded to do the famous dance from the music video. Jay happened to be sitting with Diddy and Diddy’s son, and the three of them remained mostly deadpan while this was happening. However, if you look close, I’m pretty sure Jay looks a little bit like he’s trying not to giggle.
Jay and Diddy show so much maturity here. Not even ten years ago I would have expected either one of them to get up and punch a guy in the face for doing something like this. Gives a girl in love with Lil Wayne some hope, ya know?
Rappers usually brag about having been shot to show how tough they are, but I think Lil Wayne has the one thing that can top them all: Homeboy sat through eight root canals in just one day so that his mouth would be prepared for prison. They also fixed up Weezey’s grill and replaced some bad implants. It’s said that he has very few of his original teeth remaining.
The dental surgery was so important that Wayne was given a week-long extension to recover before he starts his one-year sentence for felony attempted gun possession. He will now start his sentence on March 2nd. I miss him already.
Celebrities can complain all they’d like about constantly being documented by the paparazzi, but they have to admit that it must be pretty nice to have certain moments caught shot-by-shot while their not even paying attention. Yesterday some photogs in Hawaii happened to be there while Hilary Duff’s boyfriend, Mike Comrie was proposing to her. The whole scene looked so perfect that it may as well have been ripped out of one of those horrible romantic comedies Hil has been making ever since she stopped being a teenager. Congrats to the happy couple!
Tiger Woods gave his public apology today (the full 14-minute video is here) and I’m not buying it. After greeting the press, Tiger started with the statement, “I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behavior I indulged in,” and continued on to give general apology-like statements for cheating on his wife with over fourteen women. It seemed to me that his apology lacked proper emotion considering what he was apologizing for. He hit every point he needed to (selfishness, admitting his unfaithfulness, feeling that he was above the law), but it might as well have been read by a politician. The only part that I did appreciate and believe, is when he asked the paparazzi to please leave his wife and children alone.
Do you accept this apology and do you believe that Tiger is truly dedicated to changing his ways?
I think Gary Coleman makes me sad. My gut instinct is to laugh at him, but when I think about it, there’s really nothing funny about a child actor who’s grown up to be the kind of person who tells an Insider interviewer to “go to hell.”
If you haven’t caught this interview that aired earlier this week, you must. Gary is being grilled on his domestic abuse charges by a table of women wearing updated power suits and the guy just loses it. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen anyone mouth off to someone like that in real life. You can’t help but wonder what kind of problems this guy must really be dealing with.
As far as babes-of-the-moment go, I am loving Olivia Wilde. She’s not a big mouthed idiot like Megan Fox, I really have no idea what she’s doing work-wise which implies to me that she’s not overexposed and she doesn’t give me that “I’ll fuck your boyfriend while you watch” vibe that I get from Scarlett Johansson. Check her out in these photos from the March issue of Elle Magazineif you don’t know what I mean.
I would like to tell you that the term “retard” is very offensive to me. I am not offended because I ASSUME it would offend someone who has mental retardation. I am offened on how the word came to...
I am not offended that Rosie has a fear or anxiety of LP. I feel that when someone knows very little about things and or people they tend to be anxious. Think about it if you had never been around someone...
